If I could give it 0 stars I would - this was undoubtably the worst most disgusting roast I’ve ever had. Everything was clearly from a frozen bag and some of it was actually inedible. They should be ashamed and embarrassed to serve that food let alone for so much money. It’s a shame to see a place that used to have genuinely nice food have become so poor. Don’t waste your money here for the kitchen to mug you off with disgusting badly cooked cheapest of the cheap frozen food.

Possibly one of the worst coffees in the area. Also expensive. Nice

Had the slow cooked beef rib with cheese mash. I was let down with the rib it was very salty. As I was hungry, I ate it and didn't want to wait for a new one. I told staff I wasn't happy with the food. But nothing done as I finished the foodMy sister enjoyed her food, a hunters chicken

Cracking Sunday lunch in a friendly pub. Food really good, they offered free top ups on roast potatoes and gravy. Only critique was that the veg were a little undercooked. Really friendly, vibrant atmosphere. Will definitely be going back.

Really good food and service. Nice vibe for a Thursday evening.

This pub has a lot of potential but the food is dreadful and overpriced for the quality. It’s a beautiful location in a lovely part of Bristol but the menu is from 1994 with 2024 prices. The staff are lovely and it feels like a missed opportunity for the community. I hope the owners sort it out.

Work related lunch trip, excellent service. Very helpful. Gorgeous views .Tasteful decor , gardens very victorian with a marquee. Parked easily . stones throw from Victoria Park. Interesting array of liquor available for the drinkers. Loved this place very welcoming ??Parking: Arrive earlyKid-friendliness: Ok for babies or older , due to lots of steep steps outside not ideal for young childrenWheelchair accessibility: plenty of space

Hour wait for an alright but very pricey burger and some chicken. Okay for a pint, wouldn’t bother with the food. Fallen a long way from how good it used to be. Bit of a shame.

Such a disappointment. The food was awful. We had 2 steak pies with mash - The pie was just a frozen pale pastry and the gravy was so lumpy and the vegetables were dry and hard. For the quality, £17 each was absurd. The place itself is nice but probably best to just stick with going for a drink.Probably won’t return.

Been here before and had great meals but when we turned up Monday things were very different. No one greated us (4 staff stood by bar) We found our own reserved table, waited a while, asked about menus. When we ordered there was stuff not available (fine) but then it was a guessing game as we went through the menu - running back and forth to the kitchen to ask if they had it. No brocoli on the kids menu (fine) but then when I got my main we had broccoli on our plates? All minor things but when put together with the cleanliness of the place (we were almost the first table of lunch) and the WCs were filthy, the pub was freezing. I was embarressed that I had suggested the place. And food was awful - childrens goujons were like bricks, mine main was hot in places cold in others. My partners gammon was dry and grim. The salads were old, wet and wrinkly. No one asked how the food was (probably worried to ask) Sorry to leave a bad review but its such a contrast to what it use to be? Wont be back any time soon.

Friendly and helpful staff, nice space, accommodating lots of things and nice food and lovely view from the table. Dog friendly and gluten free menu.

We came for lunch at The Victoria (22nd December) at a pub we have been coming to for years. The food used to be (5/6 years ago) excellent. Small menu, good food never a complaint. I think it has been bought by a chain since we first started going, and the food has steadily gone downhill until today when it was almost inedible. In fairness to the bar staff, they were really understanding and gave us a refund for most of the meal, but it was not good, a massive disappointment. My wife had falafel, she couldn’t eat it. My children had fish and chips. The chips were cold, fish greasy and we tried to order multiple items on the menu only to be told they weren’t available. It is a great location, amazing views and should be a brilliant pub, it once was, but something has changed and it is just sad. The place felt sad; it was empty. The kitchen was closing at 1pm on a Friday lunch, and I think it needs a new lease of life to return it to former glories, hope it does soon.

Went for some Christmas Eve lunch today and despite their website saying they were doing the standard Sunday menu, was told all was available were roasts. Ordered 1 pork (£16) and 1 lamb (£18) and what was served up was pre-cooked meals that had been pinged in the microwave. Staff couldn't even be bothered to clear our (half eaten) plates. Place was also freezing cold. Won't be returning.
