Had the perfect Sunday Roast today in The Five Bells! The pub itself is so warm and inviting, and then you meet the staff! James & Sarah were brilliant and really friendly. They helped with all the dietary requirements and although busy they had time for everyone. The kitchen itself needs more than 5 stars! They catered to our needs, the roasts were just delicious, I wish I had a photo of it but I’d eaten it all before I even thought about that & the dessert was the naughty treat we definitely needed!Thank you all so much for the perfect relaxing, well fed Sunday!! We cannot wait to book in for next time!!

The service was really great, including the way the chef decorated the plate with"Happy birthday" for my friend's birthday. The waiter was really polite and helpful. The food was good too.Vegetarian options: Macaroni cheese was tasty.

Wouldn’t eat here again if you paid me! Booked for Mother’s Day and was highly embarrassed and disappointed. Upon arrival we were seated at a table that wasn’t clean. We had to ask. The younger staff were more than accommodating and were clearly under pressure from senior. The starter was good but wasn’t served with the artisan bread we had to ask for this and were given hovis bread burnt. The mains were awful I could barely eat mine and one of us found a hair in the food which means they went home hungry this was taken off the final bill. The best part was dessert which we waited nearly an hour for!! When we expressed our disappointment senior staff just brushed it off! No customer service at all.All in all it was a bad experience we paid over 100 for. Would never eat here again.

Food was absolutely lovely, beef roasts were fantastic, along with the starters and desserts. However we were let down massively by the speed of service and rude remarks made by a member of staff at the end of our meal.Benefit of the doubt to a degree, this was Mother’s Day when it’s expected to be busy.We got in and waited a short period to be seated. Got to our table, drink and food orders were fine. Starters and mains had no issues but it all went down hill from there. Staff member gave us the dessert menus, another staff member came over and asked if we had ordered. I said no and she proceeded to then take the menus off us! The original staff member then had to bring the menus back so we could actually order as we hadn’t had a chance to look at them.It then took 45 minutes for the food to come, constantly ignored by the staff when attempting to ask where the desserts were. One of the staff eventually came over and acknowledged the delay and said they’d give us the desserts on the house. Once finished, we asked for the bill and waited another half an hour. Eventually I had to go to the bar to ask for the bill and pay. I did make it clear how long we had waited. As we got up, we had a male member of staff in a very rude manner say “are you guys done?” To then barge past myself so he could clear our table.Nothing wrong with the food as mentioned but the wait times were quite frankly disappointing. A majority of the staff were lovely but we were seriously let down by the attitude of a couple of them.

This is an absolute hidden gem, just a stones throw away from Aylesbury, situated in a beautiful village is this stunning pub.It is just as beautiful on the inside too, spacious and a nice chilled feel to it as well, and the bonus to it all is you get helpful, friendly, chilled out staff to who are happy to serve you and they also acknowledge you too when they need a quick minute. The food is incredible, this is the signature burger and had it with a pint of doom bar for 20 odd quid, lovey ?The room is really nice too, complimentary tea and coffee etc as you'd normally find, a nice comfy double bed I'm spraled out on now, a decent size wall mounted TV.

I stayed in a lovely room, ate the absolute best breakfast I've had in a long time and was treated exceptionally well by the staff. I will be staying here again. Highly recommended. When there, you've got to try the Eggs Benedict. It will not disappoint.
