The Chequers is our favourite restaurant. After a very warm welcome from Dritan and Ranka, the owners, we had a most excellent Sunday lunch. The food is always wonderful and the staff are extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about the food they are serving. If you have't yet been, do go, you won't regret it.
Always has amazing food and is very well priced, but the difference with this restaurant compared to others is that they get to know you and become friends with you. Super friendly stuff all around and amazing service. I would eat here everyday if I had the time.

This is our favourite place to eat! The food is spectacular and the team are warm and friendly. We love popping in for a drink and to sit by the cosy fire. For a meal, there is no place better. The tasting menu is superb and we never leave disappointed only that we need to wait for the next visit! The wine selection is better than you’d get elsewhere. I’ve been for Sunday lunch, Saturday lunch and evening dinner and can guarantee you will love it if you love food
