Have used Cheng du for our Chinese takeaways for a long time ,Tonight will be the last as it was awful , all tasted like warm ups nothing was fresh , and tasted awful , it has gone in the bin , so disappointed after spending out £45 , have you changed chefs ?♀️

Been using chen du for over thirty years but since the change in management the quality has definitely drop and more so recently .final straw last week when food turned up almost cold crackers were burnt again and basically meal ruined. Don't normally complain but decided to to let them know I wasn't happy and proceeded to get a lecture on how good they are ..no refund no offer of replacement, I explained we spend well over 100 pounds per month but still nothing. I informed them wouldn't be using them again for the foreseeable future and they just continued to tell me there couldn't have been a problem .I was not happy with the customer service and they did try and phone back a while later but I driving to collect a meal elsewhere.They are the most expensive Chinese about and have lost my business.

Late delivery and food was cold so I called and they said they were going to send me a replacement which arrived 45 mins later but the driver would not let me have my food because I didn't have the cold food to give him back what were they going to do with it reheat it and serve it again so I paid for food that I didn't have because it was cold a very poor service will not be using you again

Been coming to Cheng du for years, absolutely love the food and atmosphere. After Covid it became a take away which we were apprehensive about, but nothing changed. The staff are always friendly and the food is always incredible. Would recommend the special fried rice 11/10

It's changed since Covid as one cannot dine inside anymore. I tend to go to another Chinese takeaway in town as it is cheaper, but this restaurant has always had MUCH better food and the prices aren't so different anymore. I forgot how much I enjoyed their food. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them! I'm certainly returning every time I want Chinese!

I've never dined in and I don't think they do any more, so can't comment on atmosphere. But the food is great. Not the cheapest Chinese takeaway in the area but that's reflected in the quality - it's good. I like the lettuce wrap particularly. The staff seem almost scarily efficient and never got a wrong order or anything like that.

Mongolian lamb was very different. Incredibly disappointed! Not at all what we used to get from Cheng Du in the years we have ordered. Apparently management has changed and when I went to complain just got a sorry and no attempt to replace it even. Gone to waste as no meat, just skin and tough.
