Manor Farm, BuckinghamBeing my wife’s birthday we thought we would start the day by doing something different and going out for breakfast, the Larder Cafe being local was the choice, we had our 2 little dogs with us and were made very welcome, everyone came and said hello and offered them treats, we ordered the single breakfast and really enjoyed it, bacon, sausage, mush, beans, egg and toast with coffee,, wonderful thank you will be back

7 Market Hill, BuckinghamMy wife and I visited the Kings Head by chance. We were passing through and wanted a bite to eat. We were glad we picked this pub as the food and friendliness of the staff is excellent. We have already said we will call in again when we are passing through. 9 High St, BuckinghamWe went into the restaurant last night as we were staying overnight.The restaurant was busy but we were found a table straight away.The staff were all very polite and our waiter Raj was very attentive and took time to chat to us.The food was really good, a good selection of dishes on the menu with reasonable prices too.Would highly recommend this restaurant and will be visiting again when we are next on the area.Thank you to Raj for the yellow rose, such a lovely gesture.Annette and Paul from Manchester *****

13 High St, BuckinghamTalk about a single, friendly face changing your whole day…I was visiting Buckingham yesterday lunchtime (Sunday March 24) and needed to get a taxi (I had just got off the bus).Not seeing a taxi rank anywhere I walked in and asked where I could find one. A lovely woman called Claudia immediately presented herself, cheery and genuinely welcoming, asking if she could help.I explained I was looking for a taxi and without missing a beat she said “I’ll call one for you!!! During the 20 minutes it took for the taxi to arrive, she kept checking and reassuring me it was on its way.It may not sound much but to a stranger in a strange town, her welcome and immediate offer to help could not have been MORE WELCOME!!!!!!??????Thank you! I cannot tell you how much it was appreciated!!!!

39 Nelson St, BuckinghamLast week I ordered king Prawn Patia, Tarka Dal and Pilau rice from Dial a curry, all I can say is that the King Prawn Patia was Superb, as soon as I tasted it, it brought back memories of my mother's Patia, subtle sweetness and sourness with a wonderful heat and perfectly seasoned, I was so happy.Dial A Curry is my go to place for all Indian takeaway, but that Patia, just wonderful!

The food itself was very tasty; we had burger, flat iron steaks and dirty fries (bearnaise sauce was a little too bland and the steak was a little overdone on the medium rare if I am being picky). Atmosphere was lovely. Waiters were very nice but the food was very slow even though we arrived as it opened so very quiet (possibly because it is new/kitchen wasn't ready?). The waiter accidentally spilled half a bottle of J20 onto my sons lap, mistakes do happen and they were very apologetic and asked if there was anything they could offer complimentary and I suggested desserts would be nice. When the bill came they only had taken off one dessert despite my son sit uncomfortably in soaking wet clothes for the whole evening (we had actually considered going home which would definitely have ruined our whole evening) and it was a very long time due to the slow service. I spoke to the manager and explained I thought it was all the desserts were offered complimentary and got him to change it. I wish I hadn't had to go and speak to the manager to get things cleared up but to be fair there was no fuss or argument from their side which was much appreciated.Manager: some other little feedback to improve; offer a plate for the olive stones - there was nothing to put them on other than the table cloth! Ice in the tap water glasses/jig would be nice. A kids menu would be nice if you want to encourage families (you might not!) and a drinks menu would be helpful.

8B Meadow Walk, BuckinghamBeen coming to Cheng du for years, absolutely love the food and atmosphere. After Covid it became a take away which we were apprehensive about, but nothing changed. The staff are always friendly and the food is always incredible. Would recommend the special fried rice 11/10

I have never seen an ice cream place doing waffles before. There's always something on the menu that I want to try. If you live in Buckingham it's worth a visitKid-friendliness: The staff here are very welcoming to children. They even have an activity area for kids! The parents often come here to get some coffee for themselves and some ice cream for their kids.

6-10 Market Hill, BuckinghamThis place probably does the best chips I’ve had since moving from London (18 years ago). My go to fish and chip shop when in the area. I’m knocking off a star only due to them not accepting card(!) payments, not because of COVID worries, more so just the inconvenience it causes me as I don’t carry cash. Comes on guys, stop dodging tax and get a card reader - the ice van takes card payments - ;)

The cafe is beautifully clean and the Egg mayo and Bacon sandwich on brown was the best I've had in a very long time. Very good value for money too. We will be stopping here again as we do this run quite regularly. Drop in if in the area you won't be disappointed.

There had been some decorating going on & the room was quite plain. We ordered the food from their mark your choices menu. Ordered a bottle of wine which was well chilled & reasonably priced. Starters arrived which were truly delicious followed by crispy duck. This was disappointing as was diced rather than shredded,it was still very tasty. All the other dishes arrived all piping hot & extremely tasty very enjoyable. Will certainly revisit. Very reasonably priced too. Thank you. PS bit of improvement in duck plus make sure it’s warm & even better.

We no longer live in Winslow but I still travel the 8 miles each way to get my fish and chips from this shop and wouldn't go anywhere else.Personally I can't understand the poor feedback left as I have never found any food from here greasyParking: Free parking on the road but if no spaces there is also a car park located at the rear of the shop that is free in the evenings.

The ingredients are local (took a moment to realise that "m" on their food map meant metres, not miles, which gives an idea of how local much they use is) and universally great quality, and every dish and drink surprising us by how good it was - from the kids' cheese toasties to the more elaborate 'big bowl' and whole array of cakes, each one surprising us by how good it was, despite our expectations getting higher each time. Even the little details are spot on: the lovely glasses and metal straws, the comfy big seats, the attentive and knowledgeable service. So while at first glance it might seem a little pricey, it's well worth every penny, and more. No notes whatsoever, just please keep doing what your doing.

Welsh Ln, BuckinghamWhat a great little find. A friend and myself ventured here after a gym workout. I had a hot chocolate and particularly asked for it to be extra hot and the staff member was most obliging. I also had a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich-it was gorgeous.! The shop itself offers lots of choices of nice home-cooked food and locally sourced products. We sat outside. It’s a bit basic and perhaps could have some improvements with umbrellas and make it a little bit more ambience. That being said, I would go back !
