This is the third time now that I have ordered from this restaurant and the second and the most recent third time has left me with a little bitterness in my mouth, the first time I ordered from them I was given a decent portion with enough chicken so a good ratio to sauce, well the second and third time there was hardly any chicken, tonight I counted 5 small pieces which is not acceptable considering the cost of take outs these days, the food itself is nice and like the verity but this is not acceptable to deliver food that only has a small amount of protein

I have been using this take away for years but recently the food hasn’t been at it usual standard. Yesterday I ordered a takeaway and the main course wasn’t what I ordered very disappointed because it’s a treat if and wen I can afford it . ?

Easily the best Indian food in Chesham. Always delivered bang on time; food always piping hot and so well cooked, with excellent use of spices and high quality ingredients. Absolutely nothing negative to say about The Chatgoan. Brilliant!

Last time we used them they were extremely late with awful communication and rude reception on the phone when questioned. Gave them another chance tonight and just as bad. Do yourself a favour and stick with Chesham Tandoori - their food is much better and they are a pleasure to deal with.

Ended up having to throw it away.When I called to explain - no-one was willing to admit fault, have ordered from here before and the consistently make errors with the food.Big waste of time and money - would rather starve than eat from there. Poor Poor Poor.Save your time and money.

Disgusting food!Staff are smoking near the kitchen, hardly anyone speaks decent English.Order was completely wrong, very unhappy with overall service. Will NOT be going back.Would show pictures, but may make people feel sick!

Had a chicken tikka biriyani with King prawns curry and poppadoms. Wonderful. Loved every bite!
For the main courses (tikka masala & Korma) , chicken looked under cooked as well as the sauces being very runny. In general they both lacked flavour. The pilau rice was also below standard. The only good thing about the meal was the naan breads (cheese & peshwari). Will not be ordering from here again.

February 2022Previously I gave Chatgaon 5 stars - see review below.I'm sorry to say that the quality has dropped the last couple of times. The mushroom pakoras were fairly nasty with thick solid batter. The naans were quite charred in places, though otherwise fine. The cheddar mushrooms were in a very runny sauce which used to be thicker.On the positive side my shashlik masala was good and rice and omelette were up to the usual standard.It's sad to find an exceptional restaurant has become average.Summer 2020Reopened today with new Covid19 precautions. Delivered on time and with good handling and distancing.Great food, better than ever! We'll definitely be ordering again.

What a shame!!! Used Chatagon for over 10 years...but unfortunately have used them twice recently and second time, for a second chance. Nearly 2 hours after ordering, having to ring and ring to chase....not great service for long standing custom.
