Walking around the village on a wet day and decided to pop in to this cosy pub for chips to warm up! I was with baby in pram, toddler and dog. The service was very friendly, dog received his own bowl of water, and barman made sure he opened side door for pram. I really appreciate good service and recommend this as an accessible place for all the family to come.

Nice pub, great service, but food came a little too quickly hence the skin on fries were definitely refried! The burger special and light bite fish goujons were good though.

This was perfect for lunch on a day out with the family. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. There was something on the menu for all tastes. It was reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

A truly great country pub. Staff were very welcoming. The music was awesome. If you love guitar based bands you will be in your element. The food is absolute heaven. We all had starters, mains and desserts. The drinks slipped down very well also. Lovely, lovely venue.

Our first visit for some time. We were pleased to see it was not busy as it was early afternoon. A very cheerful greeting, prompt service by a very polite young man. From reading the menu they say " we don't do fast food, we do good food as fast as we can" so, with an expectation set, we ordered our food from a good selection. A wait of about 15 minutes and our food was in front of us. 10/10 excellent. I had rolled shoulder of lamb with veg and gravy etc. My wife had slow cooked beef with veg and gravy. PERFECTLY COOKED, fresh vegetables and very tender lamb and beef. Red wine gravy, lovely. Desert ordered. One trecle pudding with custard, one strawberry cheese cake. Again very very good. We shall definitely be returning with friends.

Just dropped in as we live locally and we were walking with our son his fiancee and our granddaughter. We also had our son's dog with us. We were made extremely welcome and the food was very good and what I had was lovely. We will definitely be back perhaps during the week soon
