Have stopped for coffee and cake a few times now after a run or a walk. Great coffee, yummy cakes and pastries. Made to feel very welcome.

All round excellent, upmarket feel and a nice place to visit.

The food here is consistently good and a wide variety of drinks. Service is friendly and welcoming and the cafe/bistro is a real bonus to the tennis centre. Love the Friday night meals for eat in or takeaway. There are always lovely fresh cakes and we regularly visit at weekends. Dog and family friendly and a hidden gem in Halton. I would recommend the bistro highly. There are only two negatives and these are not the fault of the bistro or its team - the tennis centre toilets are always in a poor and rather unhygienic state. The Clubhouse encourages non- members to enjoy this wonderful place but not all members seem to believe in 'all welcome' and each visit we have encountered one particular member who visibly and audibly shares her opposition to welcoming non- members. This however will not dissuade us from continuing to visit.

Nice club, only had a drink of tea.

Poor service and extremely poor staff attitude. High street prices at a tennis club. It used to be a relaxed family friendly atmosphere with suitably priced food, what a shame!

Fantastic welcoming service and great food. The breakfasts are really great and the burgers are the best. Dog and child friendly too so you can enjoy a meal with the whole family

Highly recommend this hidden gem. We came for a drink Saturday 12th evening, ended up staying a few extra hours and eating too. Was such a wonderful environment, family friendly. Felt like being on holiday sat outside watching people playing tennis in the sunshine. Absolutely recommend, the service was outstanding, polite and cheerful, nothing was too much. The food was incredible and great value for money. 100% will be back, sooner rather than later.

Visited the club over the weekend and had great fun in both days. It is a lovely club, the cafe serves good coffee, pastries, cakes and brunch. Prices varied, coffee well priced, cheese toastie on its own a bit pricy but the rest were ok. They made up for good customer service, friendly with smile and accommodating. So why 4? Saturday visit was a bit chaotic and looked unprofessional with children running in and out of the kitchen. In my opinion commercial kitchen is NOT a place for small children during service (hygiene and safety?). The lady taking my orders was constantly being interrupted by her daughter. I understand the club is a family club obviously, but it has plenty of space outside, in the cafe, and has a playground where small children can play. They belong there and NOT in a busy commercial kitchen. We will continue to use the club cafe, as I said it was good I however hope that they would take this comment on board. I also hope that it was a one off for them not being able to find anybody to look after the children on a busy day!

We were at the club Friday 4th for the tournament and my son was hungry and cold after his game ( shower during the game) so we decided to try the clubhouse cafe and I'm so glad we did! The lady barista was lovely, she was knowledgeable about the area and the cafe (apparently under new management) . She recommended just the right food that we enjoyed and my son was so delighted with her recommendation of chocolate bomb, he finished and scrape the mug in no time! My son rated the CHOCO BOMB 10 out of 10! The atmosphere was great and service was quick and friendly. Will definitely recommend this place and we're looking forward to going back there again.

The previous owners of the Bistro in Wendover recently took over the catering. Sadly due to Lockdown they haven't been able to reach their full potential. However what they have been able to do has been very acceptable. In fact the takeaway meals when allowed have been a lifesaver for a person who has to produce a meal EVERY night since Covid!!! The evening menu currently Fridays, Saturdays, changes slightly every week. Great Burgers with all the trimmings, Chicken wings, Calamari, Beef Stroganoff, Chicken Burgers, etc. etc. We are trying them all as, and when they appear. Oh and the Chocolate Brownies are to die for!! Once we can eat "In House".again, it is our go to destination every week. And it isn't only a facility for Tennis Players, Anyone can come.

The former owners of The Bistro in wendover have brought their amazing Beef Stroganoff to the Halton Clubhouse! The takeaway menu offered atm is small but the dishes are outstanding. We had takeaway this weekend and it was absolutely sublime. Amazing burgers, stroganoff to die for and the best chips around. The chicken wings special was also finger-licking good! Definitely one of the best takeaways we’ve had.
