“We needed some food after a 6 mile walk around the woods in Walters Ash so decided to give The Wheel a go. We had a warm welcome before being seated. The food was really good and great value. Will be coming back again for sure.”

“Never had such beautiful presentation of food, and the food was beautiful. This pub is a hidden gem and probably one of the best of its kind in the Chilterns. Thank you for a fantastic experience.”

“I'd meant to look in here many times, calling on relatives in the area but never having time. So, when I did drop in, it was a delight to find the beer was good and locals were welcoming and good for a chat.Food? I was looking for a pub, not a licensed restaurant, so the lack of nosh was neither here nor there!”

“Lovely old pub with a large car park. Great seating area outside, but we sat indoors. Food was excellent and huge portions. They also serve my favourite cocktail ?. The couple who run the pub were very friendly and welcoming. Also, it's a dog friendly pub.”

“We are regular lunchtime visitors to this pub when visiting family. The atmosphere is generally buzzing, the staff are welcoming and friendly, the food is excellent - although the portions could be a bit smaller! The chips are some of the best I've eaten, crunchy outside, fluffy inside. There's a good range of pub staples and a specials board, with several veggie options. It gets very busy sometimes, and as food is made freshly there may be a long wait for your food to arrive. In the meantime, there are 2-3 real ales on the bar, and some nice non-alcoholic drinks for drivers. There's a huge garden with swings etc., with awnings over tables closest to the pub for some shelter. Inside it's rustic country pub style, with a small snug and two other seating areas within the bar. The car park is quite big, but note that the 'road' to it off the common has some significant deep potholes!”
