We needed some food after a 6 mile walk around the woods in Walters Ash so decided to give The Wheel a go. We had a warm welcome before being seated. The food was really good and great value. Will be coming back again for sure.

We stayed at the Wheel overnight whilst at a local event. We can't fault any aspect of it! Amazing place! We had pre-booked a space for our small van camper and we turned up to a reserved space, they offered us electric too if needed, we had access to the toilets overnight that were cleaned before the pub shut so they were immaculate. Really warm welcome on the phone and when we arrived with our two dogs. Excellent local ale on hand pump. Good range of menu options including gluten free. Our roasts were very good with plenty of seasonal vegetables and gravy. Clean plates all round. Puddings were excellent, particularly apple and blackberry crumble and GF sticky toffee pudding. Dogs were made very welcome. Food and drinks all reasonably priced. A proper pub.
