used to be an excellent pub, sadly after Alan and Julie left pub was closed for a time, I think it has reopened now but no information can be found

I think a lot of the people who work there and in the past have a real attitude for certain people,i know that's most places,but why bother when you can go to other pubs with nicer atmospheres and people

Arrived an hour ago and only just recieved my food not impressed
I had been on a long walk on the Chilterns with a group of friends. We were all a little hungry. Found this place by chance and what a little gem . The food was delicious and a good portion. The price was reasonable too. Would definitely recommend making a stop here.

Food was disappointing. After seeing such great reviews we thought we'd give it a go. We waited an hour for our food to arrive even though we were the only sitting. The pizzas were burnt on the crust and very chewy where the cheese had been overcooked. The eggs on the ham egg and chips were solid.The staff were polite and friendly, but we didn't feel waited on, we had to chase up drinks and sauces.The pub was clean and there was a good selection of drinks on offer. I think we just had bad luck.

We had a fabulous Sunday carvery lunch here today. The food was homemade and amazing and the people are lovely. I'd definitely recommend and can't wait to return.

We had a fabulous Sunday lunch here today. The food was homemade and amazing! My coeliac husband was very happy to learn they catered so well for gluten free requirements and he absolutely loved the GF apple and blackberry crumble. The people are lovely and we can't wait to return! We definitely recommend!!
