I had a fantastic time at Le De Spencer Arms. The staff were polite and efficient, the drinks were refreshing and the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. I enjoyed the live music and the friendly chat with the locals. The service was fast and the bill was reasonable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun night out in a charming setting.

A real gem of a county pub without any trace of a national chain, so rare to find nowadays. It was busy with locals but made me feel at home being not from round these parts?. Food was first class, my steak pie had no trace of fat or gristle and tasted fab, the mash it came with was piping hot. My wife's ham egg and chips were pretty tasty as I nicked some of her chips and ham. Looking forward to revisiting in a weeks time and have booked a table given its popularity.Dietary restrictions: Understand GF requirements and can amend many dishes

Was visiting some local historic places and choose pub nearby. Greatly surprised by pub manager, meeting a true publican is such a rare thing! Despite being part of the chain, it feels like a family run pub.Young ladies behind the bar were very pleasant and professional, excellent service.

Stopped here for a weekday evening meal and a drink. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and can’t do enough for you. I had my dog with and she was spoilt by the staff.Great selection of drinks, the food menu is great too. The food was lovely (burger and pie). They also have a huge outdoor seating area and garden with kids area which I look forward to visiting in the summer. The location is a little strange but if you’re following the address on here your sat nav isn’t going crazy, it really is down a little country lane. Will definitely visit again.

We were late, my mistake, owners found us a table and were excellent hosts. Great food and good value. Friendly, cosy traditional pub with a great atmosphere. Service was spot on.

We are regular lunchtime visitors to this pub when visiting family. The atmosphere is generally buzzing, the staff are welcoming and friendly, the food is excellent - although the portions could be a bit smaller! The chips are some of the best I've eaten, crunchy outside, fluffy inside. There's a good range of pub staples and a specials board, with several veggie options. It gets very busy sometimes, and as food is made freshly there may be a long wait for your food to arrive. In the meantime, there are 2-3 real ales on the bar, and some nice non-alcoholic drinks for drivers. There's a huge garden with swings etc., with awnings over tables closest to the pub for some shelter. Inside it's rustic country pub style, with a small snug and two other seating areas within the bar. The car park is quite big, but note that the 'road' to it off the common has some significant deep potholes!

The roast beef tasted more like pork, in fact it most likely was pork, it is the only explanation for the taste Whatever it was, it was tough. Seemed to be warmed up cooked slices rather than a cut from a joint roasted in the pubs chicken. The deserts were all bought in, well at least they seemed to be. Well kept ale, but sadly too cold. The prices are low. Will not be eating there again.

To celebrate a family member's 50th birthday we all had lunch at this historical, cosy pub. The staff were welcoming & friendly. Beautiful setting. The food was delecious & plentiful. It was served piping hot & everyone enjoyed their dinner. Would thoroughly recommend the roast - was very impressed with the veg (which arrives in separate dishes) so you can choose what to put on your plate! Love the gravy!!!! Can't wait to dine here again!
