We are regular lunchtime visitors to this pub when visiting family. The atmosphere is generally buzzing, the staff are welcoming and friendly, the food is excellent - although the portions could be a bit smaller! The chips are some of the best I've eaten, crunchy outside, fluffy inside. There's a good range of pub staples and a specials board, with several veggie options. It gets very busy sometimes, and as food is made freshly there may be a long wait for your food to arrive....read full review

To celebrate a family member's 50th birthday we all had lunch at this historical, cosy pub. The staff were welcoming & friendly. Beautiful setting. The food was delecious & plentiful. It was served piping hot & everyone enjoyed their dinner. Would thoroughly recommend the roast - was very impressed with the veg (which arrives in separate dishes) so you can choose what to put on your plate! Love the gravy!!!! Can't wait to dine here again!

Popped in here after visiting Hughenden Manor.Such a great find - food was very good a d service was friendly. This is one of those pubs that you'd love to sit in the corner of and just chill out for the day. Lovely atmosphere.
