Arriving at the hotel in which the restaurant is situated, we had the amazing view of the river and entered the hotel to be welcomed by the staff with happy faces. The staff took us to our seats and were very accommodating of my coconut allergy. They took our order and we enjoyed the view of the river.Shortly after this, the poppadoms were placed before us. These were amazing, I was pleasantly surprised when the smaller poppadoms just melted in my mouth. The chutneys both had an amazing flavour. This was then followed by the starter, the chicken tikka was beautifully moist, with a little kick of spice to it.Then the mains came and the lamb was beautifully tender and the curry was fragrant. The naans also came and they were really nice with the cheese melted just right to get that stringy effect. The puddings came and it was very nice, the honeycomb on the Rasmalai was a nice touch and the vanilla ice cream was very rich and creamy. The drinks we had through the meal were very nice, the mango lassi wasn’t too thick and the mojito was flavoursome and the chilli didn’t make it too spicy.Overall, an amazing meal with amazingly attentive staff. I would definitely recommend eating here.Dietary restrictions: They were very happy to accommodate to my coconut allergy .Parking: There were numerous amounts of parking. Two electric car parking spaces and a good amount of disabled parking. If not a patron of the hotel or the restaurants, you will be charged £10.

Worst Indian food experience, starters were bad , pakoras were burnt, worst prawn curry, dessert ras mallai was just the rus no mallai , we were utterly disappointed ☹️

I had booked for 3 people and upon reaching the waiter said their system had booked for 2 only (confirmation email showed 3). Then  server gave us a  table that was just big enough for 1 person. Frustrated, We all decided to leave and find another restaurant. The manager on duty was very kind & asked us to wait. Eventually she was able to sort out a decent table for us.(14 feb'24, 1 pm)Thanks to the manager we were able to have a good lunch.

Exquisite indian cuisine served in a beautiful restaurant in a picturesque location by the riverside.

My first visit to Sindhu but I’d heard good reviews. I was not disappointed. The reception was efficient and cordial. The atmosphere was “busy” but very ordered. Throughout, the front of house team were polite, efficient and attentive without being over bearing. We were not rushed and had plenty of time to eat and enjoy our time together. There were 5 of us for lunch and we went with the choices on the “Lunch Menu”. There was plenty of choice and we all found meals that we liked. The house red wine was good and complimented the meal. I had the Tandoori Ratan to start and the Monkfish Curry as a main. There was plenty of rice and dhal provided. We also had Samosas, potato cakes and the bread basket as sides. The food was perfectly cooked and well spiced. The dishes were perfectly balanced. I would highly recommend and if it weren’t for the fact that I live over 225 miles away, I would be a “regular”!

The food was absolutely amazing. The chutneys were fresh and vibrant and the poppadum selection was different and very tasty. The Monkfish starter was the best Monkfish dish I have ever had. My husband had the Hake as a main course and said it was really special. Service was very attentive. My only criticism would be that different people tried to top our wine up over and over again even though we had already said no thank you and that we would do it. I fully appreciate that this is a nice touch but we want to be in control of what we are drinking and once you have said no, I think that should be acknowledge (especially by the fourth time). I think it did not help that there were so many different people in attendance at one table. Having said that we would without question highly recommend a visit and will not hesitate to return here ourselves.

Attended of an evening, had the tasting menu, food was good but the service was awful. Ordered an expensive bottle of champagne, the waiter looked at me like I was from a different planet. I pointed to the bottle on the menu and then had to ask for it 3 times before it arrived. No explanation was given when our different courses arrived. Food did taste good but the service was poor for the money charged. To top it off I received a parking ticket for parking in the car park. When I called up about it they asked if I registered my car on arrival. I explained I was not made aware of the need, a further indication of the poor serviceParking: Make sure you registered your car on arrival, you will NOT be prompted by teh staff

Very unfortunate as they do not allow kids under 10 years !! I was planning to celebrate my birthday at Sindhu with my family but I was being told kids are not allowed. This is very disappointing as it is not mentioned anywhere in their website .

Excellent service with care and attention to our group of 31. Absolutely delicious food - we loved the tasting menus and were surprised by the Mango wine from India- perfectly paired with the food. Thank you for a really memorable, relaxing visit- we all loved it.

We had a voucher for a Virgin Experience, so had 3 courses for £40 for 2. The food was excellent, had Chicken Tikka starters. Tamil Nadu Lamb curry and Chicken Malabar followed by Apple Tarte Tatin. It was all perfect. One of the best Indian meals I have had, as a lot of the Indian restaurants now do a processed Indian curry, whereas this all seemed freshly prepared with perfect spice combination. The view is also beautiful, as it appears that you are in the middle of the river. The area was flooded at the time, but it didn't affect the restaurant. Excellent service, they tended to your every need. The rice is included in the price and we had a free prosecco , but the poppadum's were extra. Drinks a bit pricey at £9 per bottle of Kingfisher but you have to pay for the setting and the restaurant ambience.

Average food with extremely limited choice for vegetarians. Starters paneer tika and aly tiki chaat were ok but the mains with choice of aubergines (oily curry) and sides were terrible especially broccoli poriyal. For the non vegetarians it was a little better. It was hard work trying to get the staff to get the chef to make a garlic and chilli naan instead of just garlic. We were told that they can give us chillies on the side. Thankfully we did get what we actually wanted. Similarly we requested a vegetable biriyani instead of chicken/lamb as stated on the menu. Once again it was a bit of a drama but got there in the end. We’ve been going to Sindhu regularly but sad to say won’t be going there again in a hurry The service was poor compared to our previous visits too v

We went to celebrate a birthday with a set lunch, we were greeted with a smile and a glass of Prosecco. we chose the Chicken Sheek Kebabs starters as well as some poppadoms. The mains chosen were Lamb Biryani and Turkey Tikka Marsala. All cooked and presented nicely and plentiful helpings. For the sweet course we tried the Poached Pears and White and Dark Mousse, also very nice. We never felt rushed and the atmosphere was pleasant. Plenty of wines to choose from to accompany the food, all in all a nice experience.
