A return visit for 8 on Mothers Day to The Royal Oak for Sunday Lunch.....it was as good as the first....champagne for the Mums on arrival and sweets and a gift when we left... the food was great and backed up by efficient and friendly service, homely atmosphere and good value....will be returning very soon5 stars...Thanks to everyone who made the day 'special'...

Lovely pub in rural part of Marlow. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. We had a great roast dinner - would thoroughly recommend!! Great for food and drinks during the week, too...

The pub was busy at 1pm on a Tuesday. Was told by staff that it would take 20 minutes before we could order food. We sat patiently for 40-45 minutes. Not one person apologised for the delay or acknowledged us. It was a busy day and staff looked rushed off their feet, but being completely ignored is something I haven't experienced in a pub/restaurant for years. Can't give more than one star based on the one drink I had and poor customer service.

Not been to the Royal Oak for some time, but the new owners have done an incredible job. Sunday roast among the best, service attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. We'll be back!Vegetarian options: Good veggie options

Previous reviews had us on the fence about trying this place, though we were very happy we did in the end. The food is great and the atmosphere is lovely too. Great staff!Thoroughly recommend the roasts. That’s what we went for. Perhaps on the pricier side but well worth it.Dietary restrictions: Great at accommodating our lactose intolerance.

Came back for a second visit after I had a lovely meal last week (shepherds pie). Unfortunately the food and service this visit was a real turn off.I had Sunday roast and there wasn’t a good thing to say about it. Sirloin wasn’t seasoned at all. Roast potatoes were dry/reheated and incredibly salty, parsnips were barely cooked. Gravy had no flavour. At Wetherspoons, I’d accept this…just…but not for a £25 roast. And then the service… We were seated without a reservation which was great. But then literally 40 mins later they asked for the table back. The waitress started clearing the table before I had even finished. My daughter still had food left on her plate and they took away napkins and cutlery. Had they told me about this prior to being seated then I wouldn’t have stayed.

Went here for a meal with work friends in December (xmas set course menu) and the food was fantastic. The slow cooked venison was beautiful and you could see that care was given to all of the dishes. Definitely will go

Great measures with spirits, lovely atmosphere and staff. A nice sized beer garden in a beautiful area of Marlow. Come here for a good time and big glasses of wine.

This was one of the best dining experiences we have had, we came here on NYE for my wife's birthday and the staff made it so special. The food was delicious, we went on a Sunday and both had roasts which were wonderful. This place is definitely worth a visit!

We had a lovely family gathering in the teepee in the garden, despite being December it was lovely and cosy with the firepit, a great space for a relaxed family get together. The staff were fabulous and attentive, and the food was delicious. Thank you, we'll definitely be back!

Lovely country pub serving delicious food. We had a tasty Sunday Roast and service was friendly and welcoming. Located just outside Marlow center and close to lots of walking areas so pop in if in the area.

We had such a fantastic experience here. We turned up too early the pub was still closed but was still greeted so warmly by Lucy. We returned for lunch after our walk and had fabulous food. The whole team were superb and so lovely with our dogs. It’s a gorgeous pub with excellent food and wonderful staff. Special mention for Lucy - thankyou x. We’ll be back.
