We have been to this location a few times now for lunch / dinner. Just wanted to say how lovely ALL of the staff here are, and how nice all of our visits have been. The food is always great. This pub is one of our favourites! Thank you!

been to the pub many times for lunch, but yesterday the roast beef option was rubbish.... the so called sirloin beef was so thin, rare, full of fat and sinew, unelidable, (btw but the dog loved the doggie bag)! if you advertise sirloin roast beef it has to be editable the veg and rest of the meal was good! not good, in fact a bad experience the chef should be ashamed!

Called in for a cup of Tea, and to order food. Less than friendly, did not make tea in pot despite ordering a POT OF TEA. Then spilled milk all over table. Not even an apology

Really exceptional service. We went here for a family birthday lastnight and Tony overheard us talking about birthday celebrations so came out with a birthday card, totally unexpected and my son was so touched. Then he brought a complimentary pudding with "Happy birthday " written on the plate in chocolate! A real surprise and so appreciated. Apart from this, the food was all excellent, very good value, and the service fantastic. I'd highly recommend. Lovely warm cosy pub with great food and lovely people, thanks to Tony and all the team!

What a really pleasent pub. A good selection of ales and wines. Not eaten there yet, but evey time we visit the restaurant and bar areas are packed with diners... So I can confidently assume the chef is a good one. Very dog friendly. Staff all very helpful and friendly. It has a large garden which will be good for summer and families. Very happy to recommend!

Had an amazing night there a couple of weeks ago. All the food was amazing and we felt like we were rolling out of the door. Great atmosphere and lovely biscotti style cheesecake. Well be back soon.Parking: Plenty of space and good size spaces

I visited for dinner with my son and we both agreed the service was excellent, attentive and friendly. We both started with the focaccia which was tasty but perhaps a had a little too much rosemary for our tastes. Both mains were excellent, I had the beef rib bourguinon and my son enjoyed the macaroni cheese. The bill was also very reasonable for the quality of the food. We will definitely visit again.

Had a lovely dinner sat in one of the multiple beer gardens with both shaded and sunny spots. Very friendly and professional service - nothing is too much trouble. Food was good quality and good value.

I was disgusted a lot of the menu was unavailable. Reason they are changing over to the winter menu and are trying to get rid of what they have left. Lasagna was not crossed out so that’s what I ordered! Guess what there was no lasagna left. Then for desert I asked if I could have the mini desert but would it be possible to have the mini chocolate brownie and the mini strawberry cheesecake instead of a drink that goes with the mini desert option. I also said I didn’t mind paying extra. Again, guess what, the answer was sorry we cannot possibly do that. So not only was the menu woefully lacking, but they cannot or will not adapt to the diners request. If it had not been for the fact, I was with my stepdaughter and my deceased husbands brother, as soon as I had seen the pitiful menu I would have walked out. The same goes for the desert fiasco if it wasn’t for the people I was with I would definitely have asked for the manager, and made a formal complaint. As my husband died a few weeks ago. I could not bring myself, to upset the two people I was with, by walking out or making a complaint while I was there. My advice is stay away from the Green Man it’s not worth going there

We all came out to have the duck meal. It is really tasty and juicy. The bean ragout is very filling and flavourful

Deeply unprofessional and frankly, rude. We are not usually into pubs, but gave Green Man a try as it markets itself as ‘dog friendly’ online.Upon arrival, lots of, ‘dog friendly’ signage, but nothing to advise where one could or could not sit. A lady bluntly advised that we couldn’t, “bring the dog in here, this is a restaurant”. It’s a pub … but fair enough - we can identify as we please, these days! There was no further guidance as to where we could sit.We proceeded to the, ‘bar’ half and assumed we were correct, as there was another dog. Unfortunately, not long after we had to find another table, in the same area, as the dogs were too excited. After sitting for a while to review the menu, another bar person advised us we had to move again as we were now on carpet. All of these conditions are fair and reasonable, though why staff could not have communicated this information and avoided misunderstandings from the outset, is unclear. Worst of all was that the bar staff were then clearly talking about us in an uncomplimentary manner, as when we rounded the corner to leave all three stared at us and conversation promptly stopped. Really in poor taste.Basic people engagement/management skills lacking across the board, let alone any competence with customer service.

Passed this pub many times without venturing in. So glad we did. Lovely food and nice friendly staff. Made room for us even though we had not booked a table. My wife had the Ruddles steak pie and I had the mixed grill which you perhaps should only order if you are very very hungry as it's loads of food. Will definitely visit again.
