Quiet little pub that enjoyed lunch in midweek. Lovely place, great service. Good food. Wood happily enjoy a smash burger again, maybe a double next time.

This was my first visit to this pub. There is a tricky right hand turn on a blind corner to negotiate to get to it. Next time I would drive further up the hill and do a u turn where safe. It is situated in pretty Taplow village and has a parking are out the back where I also saw outside tables for the better weather. As it was Sunday we both opted for the roast loin of pork which was absolutely delicious. Prices reasonable. Such a big meal we has no space for a dessert. The next table to us ordered the fish and chips which smelled divine. I would definitely go there again

A pub, in my head, has to be warm, welcoming and cozy. This one is all of the above and the food is very good.

Friendly efficient staff. Good pub grub -nothing fancy mind. Great atmosphere. Gorgeous outdoor area in warmer months, with incredible hanging baskets. Ale clean, & looked after well.

I have been here to eat twice and have been disappointed twice. Previously, the pie of the day was heavily salted and, this time, the meat was poor quality even before considering the premium gastropub prices…

Well worth the hour drive to experience this gorgeous pub on Saturday night for the first time. All the staff were wonderful, polite and SO welcoming. The food was fantastic. We had lamb kofta to start which were delicious and perfectly cooked salmon for main. Perfect company, fab food and Karen was the perfect host! We will definitely be back! Thank you for a fabulous evening ♥️

Four of had lunch on Friday. Excellent. Chicken burger. Cheese sandwich. Steak pie & Scampi. All perfect. Nice Guinness. The setting is lovely. A quintessential English village. Service was swift and the host was professional, charming and helpful. Great food at reasonable prices.

We just can't get enough of this place. It never fails to deliver whether we are going for just drinks or for a meal. Last weekend, we booked for Sunday lunch with my sister and her husband who live nearby. My husband and I would love to live so close. The Elizabeth line is so handy now, especially as it stops at Taplow station on a Sunday. We ordered fish and chips, two roast dinners (beef and pork respectively) and a duck salad. All were cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were very generous. So much so, my sister asked for a doggie bag for her uneaten beef. There is also a great selection of beers, cider and wine, from which we ordered a selection. The staff are so friendly and immediately recognised me and my sister. We are well known for coming here the odd Saturday or Sunday and ordering our DIY spritzer kit. I always say to them that they should put it on the drinks menu. The Oak and Saw comes highly recommended as a great pub, serving top restaurant quality cuisine and is very reasonably priced.
