Mill Ln., Taplow, MaidenheadDelicious locally (made on site?) bread and olives for starters. Cannot fault the burger at all. Good value for money - I really thought that this place would be more expensive but I was totally wrong. We ate upstairs in the cocktail bar.

The Oak & Saw
Rectory Rd, Taplow, MaidenheadThis was my first visit to this pub. There is a tricky right hand turn on a blind corner to negotiate to get to it. Next time I would drive further up the hill and do a u turn where safe. It is situated in pretty Taplow village and has a parking are out the back where I also saw outside tables for the better weather. As it was Sunday we both opted for the roast loin of pork which was absolutely delicious. Prices reasonable. Such a big meal we has no space for a dessert. The next table to us ordered the fish and chips which smelled divine. I would definitely go there again

Caters well to people who have gluten intolerance and other allergies with a clear ingredients menu and knowledgeable service staff. People were almost queuing out the door to get in for dining and takeaway services and the place was full. Eat here before it gets even more sought after!Dietary restrictions: Good gluten free options.

Lake House Cafe
Amerden Ln, Taplow, MaidenheadStopped off for lunch yesterday, sat outside and could warm up with a tasty oat milk hot choc, toasted panini's and the chicken casserole looked super tasty and smelt great.

Starbucks Coffee
Lake End Rd, Taplow, MaidenheadFeb 2024 updated. We still call this the CANTEEN. Great place, awesome staff, the hospitality is brilliant. Time to time it gets really busy, saying this it’s because it a great place to have meeting and meet socially for coffee.The new refurb makes it an ideal place to come and have a meeting or meet a friend for coffee.

Unit 7 Bishop Centre Bath Road Taplow, Maidenhead Berkshire SL6 0NX, Taplow, MaidenheadI had so many items lasagne, and margarita pizza, mozzarella sticks and many more. I really loved the taste of all items. I find prices affordable too so I will go for next time.

Bel & The Dragon - Cookham
High St, Cookham, MaidenheadOne of the oldest coaching inns in England. Cosy venue with low wooden beams, roaring fire, selling food and drinks. Service is good, but can get quite busy and cramped at the bar. But I would recommend visiting for the atmosphere and quiet fire side chats.

The Astor Grill
Cliveden Rd, Taplow, MaidenheadIncredible place. We love walking our dog at Cliveden and this restaurant is super dog friendly so perfect for a post walk lunch. The food is always excellent (fish and chips is wow!) and even the dog gets her own menu and place with a blanket at the table. The service is excellent and the food keeps us coming back. Well done Astor Grill! Shout out to Davey the Waiter, thoughtful and attentive, thank you ?

Restaurant & Bar at Taplow House Hotel
Berry Hill, Taplow, MaidenheadWhile an impressive building this is a fairly small hotel in terms of room numbers, so it remains somewhere which offers a personal level of service in traditional style. Reception is merely a shelf on the side of the hallway but the staff are welcoming and try to assist with any query. Off the lobby is a nice reception room with a small bar and decent seating, which is a good place to get a casual lunch, or drink late at night too. There’s no lifts in the building, so heavy bags can be a bit of a pain on the staircases but all the communal areas are decorated nicely and in keeping with the rest of the property. My room was on the 1st floor and impressive size wise. There was plenty of space in the main bedroom area with two bedside tables, a desk, separate unit with drink making facilities as well as coffee table with chairs. The room was a traditional design with wooden beams in the ceiling and the creaky floor added to the character. Sleep quality was good with a decent bed and a window which opened rather than air conditioning. Electric sockets were on the floor by the side of the bed and there was no noise from other rooms or outside. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and again, very traditional in terms of fixtures and decor with a shower over the bath rather than a separate unit. Overall it’s a pleasant hotel, certainly acting as a retreat for those wanting a relaxing experience. For the right kind of stay it should certainly be considered.
