The staff here are in need of training. They were distracted, unable to cope and took our simple order completely wrong. On top were rude.

Very unorganised and clearly not enough staff as the lady went off while half way through taking our order. Then over charged me so I had to wait around to be able to get a refund which was then taken from the tip jar instead as they couldn’t refund it back to my card. There is also lots of people sitting in the seating area who haven’t even ordered from Costa. Very bad experience!!

There are a number of coffee shops in the Grand Arcade. I went to the Costa Coffee as I was close by and wanted some refreshments. I have had mixed experiences as Costa Coffee shops but I am happy to say that the store in the Grand Arcade provided good service. The young lady who served me was pleasant and helpful and the tables were clean and tidy. Recommended after a break from shopping!

We visited Sunday 20/3/2022 for a cappuccino, tea and two raspberry and almond tray bakes. The latter we have many times and really like them. Not today, however. Very dry and hard like solid sawdust. Returned them and asked for a change. my wife had a muffin and I had a pain au raisin. Both of those were very good but prior to that the staff had difficulty in working it out when I asked for a 25 pence refund as the pain au raisin was £1.85 and the tray bakes were £2.10. The muffin was also £2.10. I explained WHY there was a refund due and after discussions between the three of them they handed me 25 pence from the tips jar ! Obviously schools don't teach basic mental arithmetic these days and unless the till can work it out for them they are totally confused. Standards of clearing and cleaning tables have slipped back to how they used to be before Covid rules tightened up cleaning and clearing. ( Not only at this branch but at l others too ).

The best Costa Coffee in town! I make a point of shopping at this Tesco so that I can have a coffee here. There's a wonderful friendly atmosphere as the team who work here make everyone feel personally welcome.

POOR - DO NOT VISIT Wanted a quick bite and coffee for my little girl age 3 (who was hungry) before we set off home. Whilst the staff were happy to take my custom they did not mention that the seating/store would close in 10 minutes. No sooner we had our drinks and food served, the staff kept on pestering me, my wife who had a hungry 3 year old to keep moving from one seating area to another, and then every two minutes to remind me the store was about to close, whilst my little girl burnt her tongue drinking the hot coffee quickly, struggling to finish her brownie. Even whilst we were packing to go leave without finishing the food/drink, we were once again harassed by the staff. When I Confronted ALI the manager, he said that I should have read the minuscule signage for the opening and closing time for the shop ... VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - POOR MANAGER and MANAGEMENT SKILLS - COSTA PLEASE NOTE

Quick service, amazing staff (Ana and Noelia) made my day better. Always smiling and with amazing customers service.\\nThey clean tables after every use due to covid-19 is ver important and not everyone is doing this.\\nI will back to this Costa 100% sure.

Stopped by for a takeaway drink. Service was slow, probably due to COVID-19 measures. Accommodating staff. Enjoyed my iced cappuccino.

It is inside the Grand Arcade shopping centre. The cafè is constantly busy. I would suggest to the management to improve the service, because sometimes is impossible find a clean table, and on the tables there are dirty cups and glasses from previous customers.

Average at best. I'm always delighted to meet people from basically anywhere in the world, that's an enriching experience - but is it too much to ask that people employed in a coffee shop understand words like 'coffee' and 'black', and don't need to clarify multiple times that your black coffee is neither a cappuccino not a latte, and that once this has been established no room needs to be left for milk? Service is slow, products formulaic and naff, staff non-comprehending.
