Had Maria as our waitress and what a pleasure she was. Very welcoming and accommodated our needs. My partner and I went for the carbonara and lasagne, and both agreed was the best we’ve ever encountered. This place is a must to visit if you love traditional Italian. We’ll be back soon!

Fabulous experience at La Mimosa for our family meal on Saturday evening. The food was excellent and service friendly and attentive. Would thoroughly recommend this place.Vegetarian options: We had one vegetarian in our party and were are plenty of options for them to choose from.

This was just perfect. Not too big but there was plenty of space between the tables that you didn't feel as though you were sat on another tables knee.People came and went whilst we were there but were never made to feel we needed to leave. The staff were attentive but not sat on your shoulder.The food was delightful we all enjoyed everything.

We were disappointed with the approach to customer service. We booked and paid a deposit for a group of 12 people, however on the day this number reduced. We only found out that we would be charged for the non attendees when the bill came at the end of the night and we examined whether the deposit had been taken off. There was no mention of any charges that would be applied when booking or when arriving at the restaurant. The restaurant was not busy and there was a number of empty tables when we arrived. We were in fact put on a different table to the one that we booked. Now if they had turned people away we would have expected to be charged however on a quiet night we asked why this was being applied. The response from what appeared to be the owner was unexpected and verging on aggressive and completely unnecessary. We wont be returning.

Wow wow wow this is a proper italian resturant with proper home cooked food The best Italian we have been too And that includes some in italy itself And all at a resonable price unlike some of your chain restaurants

Fantastic food and service in a lovely neighbourhood location just outside of the mad hustle and bustle of the city centre. Staff were absolutely charming and service was speedy and attentive. We were genuinely impressed by the simplicity of the food and the flavours - it felt very much like elevated home cooking and all the better for it. Particularly recommend the spinach and ricotta ravioli which was light, flavourful and very fresh.Vegetarian options: Plenty of excellent and tasty vegetarian options.

My wife and I met my daughter and her partner here for lunch on Saturday. We had a lovely time and a very warm welcome and delicious food. At first, the restaurant seemed a little empty but then this was 12 o’clock noon. After a few minutes the place soon filled up with a variety of diners. Enjoyed ourselves immensely and hope to come back one day.
