This Pizza Express is in a lovely part of Cambridge near to the historical centre and is based in the old Pitt Rooms. Not sure what the rooms were for : debating etc I should think. Restaurant is through the back in a wonderful light and airey room with huge windows and domed glass in the ceiling. There is also a wood panelled room but I was not sure what this was for. Our son has milk, egg, sesame and mustard allergies so eating out is always tricky but this place was excellent. Our server Crystofer was knowledgable, kind, helpful and made us feel at ease. Our son loved his food, as we all did. Will definitely come back
The place is not easy to spot, it’s slightly set back from the road and you don’t realise it’s there till you are literally stood outside it. We had booked in advance but if not I doubt we would have happened upon it. The place is quite different and interesting in terms of decor and not like any of the other pizza express restaurants I’ve ever visited but the seating is split between different areas which meant staff were in and out.
