We only had takeaway, but it was delicious. We will definitely be back and have a meal in the restaurant next time!!

Excellent cuisine, very nice food well cooked and served. We drive 35 mins past many other restaurants as Spice Lounge easily outclassed all the others. Looking forward to our next weekly visit.

Ate here on a Tuesday night, which is a banquet night.Starter, Main and side all for a set fee.Service was quick and efficient - and food arrived relatively quickly. The mixed grill was nice and tasty. The only downsides - they only offer non alcoholic drinksThe did have Guinness zero - which sort of made up for it (I do enjoy a Bangla with my spiced foods) - and we were charged £4.95 for a small portion of Bhuna sauce, and the Naan bread could have been a bit bigger.

I went to the Spice Lounge in Chatteris with a friend. When we arrived, there was nobody else in the restaurant. We were ushered to a seat without the hosts talking to us at all. It felt really awkward. So much so, we nearly left straight away. However, we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. The elderly man who took our order informed us they were not serving alcohol. However, with water at £3.25 per glass - and Coke at £3 per can - I could see that they didn't need to make their money from alcohol!! The menu was average and my one fell apart when I opened it. On the table were knives and forks but no spoons. The curry was served in bowls and placed on the table. I asked if they could provide us with some spoons. These were (seemingly) reluctantly provided. In silence. No engagement from the serving staff. No engagement whatsoever from the manager. This created a really awkward moment! Halfway through the meal, a young waiter asked us if everything was alright. We said it was. However, the food was 5/10 at best. When my friend finished his drink, the manager asked if he would like another one. My friend said "no thank you" and the manager immediately grabbed his glass off the table, turned and walked over to the bar area, and slammed the glass down (loudly) onto the bar. The atmosphere was dreadful. I asked for the bill. When I paid the bill, the manager said nothing to us at all. Didn't ask if we enjoyed the meal (which we didn't). When we went to leave, I looked for the bill. The manager had taken it. I asked for it and was told that I couldn't have it. Honestly, what a place!! Do yourself a massive favour and tell all your friends to avoid the Spice Lounge in Chatteris!! It was the worst meal and worst experience of the year for my friend and I. They earned their Terrible rating here!

Spice Lounge Chatteris hand down has the best Chicken Madras in the area. It's really hot and spicy, and the sauce is just perfect. Not too oily.We have been using Spice Lounge Chatteris for over 9 years since living in the area, and now travel over 10 miles to get and Indian meal here.

Sadly this place has gone massively down hill.Every time I have a curry from here thinking the last one was a one off, it’s gets worse.

First visit having recently relocated to the area. Takeaway order. Portion size was sensible, but all dishes were on the runny side and the meats didn't carry the flavours like if they'd been marinaded; Bombay potatoes were just like boiled potatoes immersed in a tomato sauce. Similarly story for the Rogan Josh which lacked punch. The chicken korma had an odd texture and had noticeable dried coconut. Madras had chili punch, but meat was dry.
