“Down for a weekend break, landlord was very welcoming, service was brilliant and food amazing, my hubby hadthe pie, the best he said hes ever had. Would certainly return if in Isleham again.”

“We came to the Draymans Son pub in Ely to have a break from our walking, and I've visited here before, so I knew I would be in for a treat. Upon entering, the pub was very clean and quiet, and we ordered a Coke Zero at a very reasonable price. The toilets were clean and fully stocked with soap and paper, with a sanitary bin in both bathrooms. There is a selection of games that are free to play, and they also offer snacks. I would recommend that people check this place out; it's a nice place, and I have enjoyed myself here!”

“The Merry Monk serves the most exquisite food you will find for miles around. It is operated by a superb chef and he knows how to select, prepare and serve food. Our Sunday lunch was quite the finest I have ever eaten. The beef was just sublime - tender, tasty, perfectly medium rare as requested and melt in your mouth. All the accompaniments were similarly top notch and the meal was simply extraordinarily splendid. The staff are informed, attentive and polite. The whole experience could not be faulted and I cannot recommend The Merry Monk any more highly. If you eat out and haven't yet visited - you must!”

“We stopped here for Breakfast. This is a lovely cosy pub with a traditional feel and we received a warm friendly welcome. We had 2 breakfasts and coffees. The food was excellent freshly cooked, hot and very good portions all for just over £15. Great value and looking at the menu all food is very well priced. Highly recommend we will definitely return.”

“Sadly, I have as yet, only made one short visit to the village Inn (hopefully to be rectified very soon!) I was blown away by how friendly and personable Tim the landlord is. I'm not so confident at going places alone to meet up with people but the lovely warm welcoming feel of this pub is so satisfyingly comforting!! I wish more places feel the same........ 5* and a MUST visit!!”
