A hidden gem in Huntingdon. Excellent service and tasty food

This was my first time in Huntingdon and Teh Darjeeling was recommended to me by a colleague. I am glad I went. It was the best Indian I have had in my 4 years in the UK. The Nan bread was so soft and fluffy and the Phall was deliciously spicy. I highly recommend.

I have been to this place a couple of times in the recent past and honestly the food was okay and reasonable portion sizes.However I popped in to the restaurant on a Saturday evening for lamb biriyani and a nan feast.The waiter had no courtesy towards me at all.He seemed to be very offended by my presence from the very begining.Firstly he was not interested in offering me a table and I had to pick up my own spot and crack on.Just under 5 minutes since I arrived in the restaurant and whilst I was still scanning through their menu to see different snack options, the waiter was so impatient and nagging me to hurry up with the order.This was unprofessional of him and I was very dissapointed with his mean behaviour and voiced it to him.He never bothered even apologising and was trying to defend himself.People at the cashier likely to be their manager seemed to be concerned about it but I had already lost the interest in their food altogether and ended up walking away.I had a very unpleasant experience with them.??

W decided to have a curry tonight so we ordered from the Darjeeling in Huntingdon..chicken dansak,keema rice,lamb byriani Bombay potatoes chips and some papadoms..omg the food is absolutely lovely with decent size portions but the only down fall was the delivery time.delivery time was 1830-1850 but turned up at 1920hrs but it was worth waiting for.i highly recommend this place if you want a lovely curry…
Food was delicious, especially the chef's special with ginger cream and spinach! Staff very friendly and accommodating, will be back.

Was fantastic! Pretty quiet when we got there to eat, which was kind of nice honestly. Servers were attentive and helpful with ordering. Food was VERY tasty (ordered the Chicken Tikka Balti), the beer I got was great (Cobra, if I remember correctly). Only visiting for a couple weeks, but I want to go back!!

Have visited this restaurant a lot over the last few decades. Every time the food has been really good. We had tandoori mixed grill massage, of medium and spicy heat. They were both tasted superb and had a good amount of meat in them.Good flavours and friendly staff.Thanks, see you again soon.
