The food is fantastic with usual favourites as well as providing new dishes on the specials board, the service is top notch, and we appreciate how accommodating they are to our toddler. We had a fantastic meal this evening, but unfortunately sat next to a couple that were visibly rude and unpleasant towards our 2yr old - who was very well behaved, but it put a dampener on our visit. Hopefully just an isolated event, but perhaps a Child Only area would be helpful to ensure people who don’t want children in public spaces can be away from them without making families like ours feel unwelcome? This is no reflection of the restaurant or staff, we are grateful to have such a lovely pub to go to with the whole family.

The food was great quality for the asking price and the atmosphere was very relaxed, with no rush being felt to finish up or remove our baby.

121-122 High St, HuntingdonLove coming here as a family and they are dog friendly too so we can bring our frenchie aswell, the staff are very friendly and made a complete fuss of our fur baby. The food is great quality and value for money, service is relatively fast considering its always rammed when we go for brunch. Things for kiddies to play with and colouring for free, also water and dog biscuits for our furry friends. Only downside is its very loud in there, can be over stimulating at times.
Definitely worth a visit, would recommend to anybody.

The food was absolutely amazing and they catered to a 4 person meal with complex dietary needs, whilst maintaining high quality food. My daughter was able to have a dessert catered to her dietary needs that didnt cause any complications. This is the first time we have all been able to eat and enjoy a 3 course meal together. Will be returning and would highly recommend. Our thanks to the staff and chef.

32 Post St, Godmanchester, HuntingdonOrganised a table of 9 people (7 to eat 9 to drink and 8 to play bingo) for a secret santa thing.. we pre ordered our food as the black bull was very busy with another large function. the food was amazing! huge shout out to Jez and chefs for the food! we all very much loved it! i had the beef stew with dumplings, and it was the best stew i have had in a long, long time! beef was melt in the mouth, and the dumplings were very flavorsome! we had a fantastic night. thank you to you all! the waitress was on point, incredibly polite, and very patient considering on how busy the restaurant was! i have been to the back bull a few times before, and i will guarantee i will be back (sorry guys) lol. :) all in all Loved it!

We ordered the fish and chips, the rump of lamb and a pastrami sandwich. The fish is super fresh. And the lamb very very tasty. We are overall happy with the food offerings.
Our servers were nice and friendly and accommodating.
Not a bad choice if you want some simple yet tasty dinner.

83 High St, HuntingdonOne of the best pizzas I have had in the 5 years I have been in the UK. Generously topped with flavour right to the very edge, the base was crispy making for a delicious pizza. The service was great and friendly. We didn't realise that Da Vinci's is a wine bar, rather than a family restaurant. We were just looking for a quick pizza instead of cooking. Even though we were largely the only ones there at 7pm, we never felt uncomfortable. Oh yes, the decorations already in place for Halloween were fabulous!
(The left over was just as delicious for breakfast!)

I came across The Royal SpiceLand recently and decided to try their dine-in buffet—what a fantastic experience! The variety was impressive, with so many delicious options to choose from. Every dish was full of flavour, especially the curries and biryani—they tasted truly authentic and freshly prepared.
The buffet setup was clean, well-organised, and constantly refilled, which I really appreciated. It’s a great place to enjoy a proper Indian meal with family, and the atmosphere is very comfortable and welcoming.
I also ordered from them on another day, and their home delivery was just as good. The food arrived hot, neatly packed, and tasted exactly like it does in the restaurant. You can tell they maintain the same quality for delivery too.

High St, Ellington, HuntingdonHad a chance to visit The Mermaid in Ellington today and it turned out to be a really solid spot.
The place has that proper countryside pub feel, cosy inside but still quite spacious, and when the weather is decent the outdoor seating is a nice bonus. Service was friendly from the start, no waiting around and everything felt well organised.
Food wise, you can tell they focus on classic British dishes done properly. The fish and chips were spot on, crispy batter, flaky fish and good portion size. Also tried the steak which was cooked just right and came with decent sides. I noticed a few tables ordering Sunday roast as well and it looked very tempting.
Prices are fair for what you get, portions are generous and everything tasted fresh. Overall just a good, reliable place whether you are stopping by for a meal after work or heading out for a relaxed weekend lunch.
Would definitely come back.

Never had a bad one and always good value for the quality you get. The Chicken Bushfire Baguette is my favourite and is out of this world! Just the best. Even if you just nip in for a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake you will not be disappointed!

I had an incredible meal at Southern Fried Chicken! I ordered the southern fried chicken, a mix of chicken shish and donner meat, and their southern fried wedges — and everything was absolutely spot-on. The chicken was juicy and packed with flavor, the donner meat was perfectly seasoned, and the wedges were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and cooked to perfection. Service was quick and friendly too, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a new favorite — can’t wait to come back for more.

I had the prawn balls (deep fried prawns in the USA), and shrimp fried rice, and they did not disappoint. As a retired US Army food inspector, I am VERY critical and scrutinizing of food and foodservice establishments. This one is AOK. I live in America, but when I visit the UK, this will be a stop that I make. May God continue to bless the establishment, and the team members. If you like Chinese takeaway, drop by. I was having a awful day and when ordering I was recommended the Dorito fries as I think the server Ben could tell I was looking for comfort (eating my feelings) and he was spot on (thanks Ben).
The main reason my my review is that as I’m sitting eating my food a staff member stops by and asks how my food was and ordering experience etc but following my mumbled yeah great” eyes down reply, stops, looks at me and asks me if I’m ok and then waited for my reply. I won’t go on but I wanted to add this review to let you know that your staff care and made a difference to my day by showing genuine compassion and Pete you were right, it was ok as you said, thanks for taking your time to ask how I was and being that friendly face to pick me up.

Prices are fair for what you get, portions are generous and everything tasted fresh. Overall just a good, reliable place whether you are stopping by for a meal after work or heading out for a relaxed weekend lunch.

Shared some beef and cheddar bites, whitebait and truffle fries. Had the black forest dessert too ! Everything was tasty with good size portions.

25 Church Ln, Brampton, HuntingdonWe just had our Christmas eve dinner there and were so pleased we did. The staff were all so welcoming and helpful and did not loiter around us. The food was absolutely amazing and they catered to a 4 person meal with complex dietary needs, whilst maintaining high quality food. My daughter was able to have a dessert catered to her dietary needs that didnt cause any complications. This is the first time we have all been able to eat and enjoy a 3 course meal together. Will be returning and would highly recommend. Our thanks to the staff and chef.

The food is fantastic with usual favourites as well as providing new dishes on the specials board, the service is top notch, and we appreciate how accommodating they are to our toddler. We had a fantastic meal this evening, but unfortunately sat next to a couple that were visibly rude and unpleasant towards our 2yr old - who was very well behaved, but it put a dampener on our visit. Hopefully just an isolated event, but perhaps a Child Only area would be helpful to ensure people who don’t want children in public spaces can be away from them without making families like ours feel unwelcome? This is no reflection of the restaurant or staff, we are grateful to have such a lovely pub to go to with the whole family.

The Windmill
St Ives Rd, Somersham, HuntingdonA stunning meal tonight. Pan fried halibut with mussels and a pancetta crumb with crushed potato and creamed leeks. Honestly one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I didn't want this dish to end, it was just stunning. Dessert was burnt cream with a raspberry sorbet and a rosemary shortbread biscuit. Well done to the chef for producing a fabulous meal. The Windmill is well worth a visit.

121-122 High St, HuntingdonLove coming here as a family and they are dog friendly too so we can bring our frenchie aswell, the staff are very friendly and made a complete fuss of our fur baby. The food is great quality and value for money, service is relatively fast considering its always rammed when we go for brunch. Things for kiddies to play with and colouring for free, also water and dog biscuits for our furry friends. Only downside is its very loud in there, can be over stimulating at times.
Definitely worth a visit, would recommend to anybody.
