A traditional country pub in a pleasant rural setting. Beer was good and the food whilst pub fare was well cooked and presented. Plenty of parking and both indoor and outdoor seating.

Lovely evening meal for four, table close to real fire. Warm welcome and attentive bar staff. Steak and ale pie very tasty. Recommended for pub style food. No separate dining area, but suited us for casual dining.

Great Sunday lunch. We ordered one beef and one pork roast which came with all the trimmings. Even the peas were full of flavour and the gravy was delicious. Didn't think I'd be able to squeeze in a dessert but the chocolate fudge brownie drew me like a magnet. It came with two swirls of vanilla ice cream all drizzled in chocolate sauce. It was so light and with a melt-in-the-mouth deliciousness, I've never tasted anything better. It has always been a great place to eat and well worth our journey there.
