My first time in this pub only to witness a very aggressive man behind the bar, I can only assume is the manager of the premises shout and use profanity to a middle aged lady. The lady didn’t make any scene or say anything wrong to him as I was close enough to hear the whole conversation. First impressions are everything to a business and this was a lasting one for me. Whilst shopping in the community, I mentioned my experience to find that I am not the only one to have witnessed this behaviour from this man. Such a shame as this is a cosy pub but I’d hate to be on the receiving end of this particular man. Other staff seem nice enough but not enough to make me return.

Nice pub that dates back about 400 years. Good ale and good food friendly

Came for the bike show and stayed for a pint and a great meal. Super value too.Parking: Came by motorbike, so parking directly outside the pub was easy. Car drivers might have trouble
