I spent 7+ hours at The Golden Lion in the main tearoom on a business trip. Although, not quite what we were expecting (quiet area to work), the facilities were comfortable and the staff extremely helpful and attentive. Food and drinks were provided in a timely manner and were tasty. I will visit the tearoom again, including when not on a business trip and will tell local friends to check out the food at The Golden Lion too. I spent a few days at this place. Everything was perfect. Including eatery. Juste be careful on dinner time, that can change from one day to another. We had to go outside to eat twice, cause cooh was closed at 8:00 pm (whereas it was written 8:30). Otherwise everything was nice.
Excellent visit had one small problem that was sorted out quickly by Jason Mitton to our satisfaction. Food excellent and all members of staff were extremely pleasant, polite and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel.
