Travelled from London for house viewings and this was the local pub chosen to stop for lunch. The service here was excellent! Tracey and Lexi were very welcoming and attentive. The food was the best I've had in a pub especially the apple crumble which is a must to have! Our son and daughter in law are moving here and picked the Anchor to try as they will soon be locals! We are looking forward whenever we visit them to eat at The Anchor! They made an excellent choice!

Nice little pub the staff are very friendly and the beer is good can't go wrong really. They have various activities such as live bands and quiz nights so it's great local pub too.

Alow to get served in the restaurant section whennit was nearly empty. And there were so many flies. That's the reason it lost stars. The food was excellent though.

Our first visit here. Our kids loved playing in the garden area and it was ideal as we could sit and relax and keep an eye on them. The staff were so polite and attentive. A real asset. The food exceeded our expectations. Was delicious and plentiful! Good range of drinks and all nicely presented. Kitchen were very accommodating at preparing an alteration of a adult meal for my fussy daughter at a reduced price. This was really appreciated and she loved her meal. The only criticism I'd have is that I was very aware of being right in the middle of a housing estate. I felt like if the garden area was contained a little more between the car park and seating area, it would have had an even nicer feel, and the metal chairs weren't the comfiest. We'd definitely go again though.Vegetarian options: A section of plant based meals on the menu.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu and play area. Accomading to to fussy eaters.

Visited today for Sunday lunch. First visit was December 2022 for family Sunday lunch. We returned today after great experience last December. Today, quite expecting price increases due to cost of living crisis. However, quality and quantity had fallen. Food still very tasty but was let down by long wait for condiments. Food getting cold whilst waiting. Puddings (Eaton mess) tasty but nothing special for £7.00p. Lovely pub for drinking but not sure we will return for food sadly.

The Anchor Pub in Little Paxton is always such a pleasure to visit. The staff are always so accommodating and helpful and always bend over backwards to with their restaurant menu to provide us with what we like from the menu. Every time we go there we come away really satisfied with both the food and service.

Visited from South Africa. Lovely atmosphere, friendly service, and an impressive array of beers.

What can I say lovely food lovely staff lovely atmosphere. I need to work my way through the new menu but unlike other pubs they have not overpriced the food. I am aware of the increase in the cost of food but they remain reasonably priced with the quality too. If you are walking to the nature reserve just down the road drop in for a drink and something to eat. I have been coming here for years and it just gets better and better. If I was being critical the lunch menu could retain the jacket potatoes as when I nip in at lunch from work it is my go to food and their jacket potatoes were soooo good.
