After deciding against any of the central pubs in Wisbech, wandered along the canal away from the town and came across this place. There was one person sitting at the bar but the jukebox was rather aptly playing Concrete Jungle by The Specials, so decided to stay for one drink (which turned into many more). Friendly bar lady, very reasonable prices. Outdoor seating area at the back although we sat inside. Clientele then doubled (4, including us), and we joined in the conversation. Not to be outdone by a local playing some Doobie Brothers on the jukebox, I put £3 in for some Motown and northern soul. Was tempted to make use of the empty dance floor (a DJ would be turning up later) but thought better of it. On my second visit the bar lady kindly gave me a 10 song free credit as she'd enjoyed my choices! It's open till 2am but we left around 10pm once the young people started to arrive!

Lovely little pub, just happened to go on the night of the Halloween Disco. Everybody very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

We visited here on a monday lunch time and we were the only people in the pub. Plenty of drinks to choose from. We had tried calling for several days to check the opening times and no one ever answered the phone. I wonder if it ever gets busy?
