Most cocktail bars are so generically branded, it was the music in here as I was passing that peaked my interest, and certainly gave this funky bar an alternative backdrop I wasn't expecting and alternative cocktails! Well done ?

Amazing cocktail place, great music, rock, 90s grunge and indie. If you want something a bit different, definitely the place to go. Cocktails aren't over priced and you get showmanship with it too! Lots of fire!! Dark and mysterious atmosphere.

This review is to report the savagely sexist and overall aggressive behavior of one security guard on Friday night.To keep the story as brief as possible: at closing time, it was taking me some more time than the rest to get ready, because I had a lot of layers of clothes, as it was freezing outside. The bouncer got very irritated with me and started shouting sexist stuff to me, such as that he doesn’t have to sit and wait for me “to put on my underwear”. I will not go into the detail of everything he said (it’s neither necessary to understand the situation nor is it pleasant to remember), only that he refused to apologise even after it was clear how upset he'd made me and the whole group of friends I was with. Merely, 2 or 3 times, he pretended to show me his work card with his details, in case I wanted to report the incident, but only held it up for a second each time and then put it back in his pocket.It was a real shock to see such behaviours being tolerated by this bar; until that point, we had all loved the place and everyone’s experience with the rest of the staff was great. Sadly, of course, after such an incident, all the good memories of the bar have been overshadowed.

Stopped off for a few drinks to start a night out after checking reviews online. This place does not disappoint - the drinks are delicious. Would 100% recommend if you have the opportunity to go.

A rock bar... some staff were friendly some were not or maybe too busy.. its a very busy place . Had a few drinks tipped over on me from bar staff due to carrying a tray in a busy place ( not actually the bar staff fault either). If you are going to go, make sure you stand on the sidelines and not in the middle.. It's very expensive. £4.50 for 1 shot!!! The door staff are amazing. They are really friendly and worked out very quick who should an should not be able to come in.. no entry fee. No disabled access. If you like rock an are not scared of fire you will enjoy this evening.. the bar staff let off blow torches behind the bar. Not sure what reason. (Maybe for effect) as didn't see any drinks being done. No requests on music either. Shuts at 2..

I booked Kuckoo for my sister’s Hen party. We did the cocktail masterclass for 15 people and it lasted around 2 and 1/2 hours. For £35 each, we think it was a fantastic deal. The bar staff were great fun, which added so much to the session. If anyone was considering booking a cocktail class, I would highly recommend Kuckoo.
They make their own Lemon Curd! So so good. Will visit again next time in town for sure, cheers! ?

I loved this place! They were very welcoming on the door and the bar staff always had their eye on who is coming in even if it is extremely busy. They keep their eye out for new patrons and offered them cocktail lists straight away. It is an extremely vibrant place with so much going on. The cocktail list is out of this world and we couldn’t resist ordering some of the more flamboyant drinks, just to see the bar staff at the top of their game.Sometimes when ordering cocktails, it can take forever to get your drink, but this place have it extremely well organised and the cocktails come out as quick as ordering a glass of wine. It is great to see all the staff so happy and helpful. One small quibble and it is small, they could do to spray down the bar top and menus as it gets sticky with all the cocktail ingredients. But I will be back to this place no doubt! Highly recommend.
