Still an awesome Sunday lunch, we had 3 meats, plenty of meat and veg, all piping hot, great value for money. Still in our top 3. Well done.

Have been many times but tonight it was not a good experience which was disappointing as it was a last family meal before our son goes off travelling before Christmas. Arrived and we picked our food- when the girl came to take our order she said one of the mains was not available - we should have been informed when handed the menu, we asked for her to give us 5 more mins to choose an alternative and then I had to ask her to come take the rest of the order - a Christmas dinner was chosen from the menu on the table 'oh no you can't have that you need to pre-book' we were told - why put it on the table then ?? Yes when we did examine the menu it is written on the back that you need to order in advance..... who looks at the back ???? 3 sirloin steaks were ordered and were quite fatty and oh my word my son ordered 'glazed' pigs in blankets and they were the most anaemic looking things I ever did see - yes they were warm but had no colour not even a bit borwn, if I'd have chosen them I'd have sent them back but my son doesn't like to cause a fuss. Nicest thing was the spring roll started....worth £160 ??? Ummm I most certainly don't think it was...!!!

Lovely food. Good service. Cant be beaten for Sunday lunch. Fresh veg and prime meat. It’s our first choice for a family meal.

We visited as a small family booking for a mid-afternoon Sunday lunch. The establishment was about halfway full, with a large party being looked after in a function room close to the entrance, which to me seemed promising. The host was pleasant and very efficient, and the waitress taking our orders was also very efficient and friendly. We ordered three roast dinners which came quite quickly - we only waited about 10-15 minutes. The roast itself was set out in such a way where the meat and potatoes were served on your plate, and vegetables and the gravy boat came separately so you could plate up to your liking. I’m not fussed one way or the other when it comes to how the food is served, as long as it was simple enough, which it was. I have the rump of beef, and it was lovely and soft, nicely cooked and very tasty. The Yorkshires were thick and crispy, and the roast potatoes tasted very fresh, and made me wonder if the produce was sourced locally. One particular item that stands out in my experience is that you get a good sized pig-in-blanket included in your Sunday roast, with most other restaurants charging extra for this. Needless to say it was also very tasty. Would definitely recommend, we had a lovely visit with lovely food and hope to be back soon.

We visited this pub on our way back home from a trip to the zoo. We had the Sunday roast platters, the food was delicious with very generous portions. The only downside was that we were so full we couldn’t get dessert. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Fabulous food, service not so good. Loved lamb dinner beautifully cooked lamb, Some young waiters inexperienced and borderline rude. Slow had to ask to order having waited 15 mins however the food made up for everything, stunning

What an amazing meal and a great atmosphere. We went as a group of four and had the platter sunday roast, each of us ordered a different meat and there was plenty of vegetables too. Excellent value as the more of you order the cheaper it becomes. Compliments to the chef for an excellent meal.

Excellent menu, suited all our preferences and dietry weirdnesses. That lasagne was the best I've ever tasted anywhere. Beer in perfect condition, the happiest, most helpful staff made us want to move in there. It was a wonderful experience and very good value

First time at this establishment. I was impressed with everything. This is from parking to the food and service. Ok, this was a funeral but was a very welcoming place and everybody seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves even though it was a sad occasion. Could not fault the place. Well done all the staff. ??
