Delicious food and fantastic service. The garlic chilli prawns were amazing. The server was very friendly and accommodating, and it was a really nice touch with the surprise birthday pudding too. Would recommend!

We called here after enjoying a nice couple of beers in the olde cottage in. There was no one in the restaurant which made us a bit hesitant to go in. We decided to go in and what a treat. We were welcomed by a lovely young waitress who was very polite and helpful. The food was very tasty and cooked to perfection. If you fancy an Indian meal, I’d thoroughly recommend Fenugreek

On a journey from Essex to Cumbria we had an overnight stay in Chester. We were about to walk past this restaurant but having looked at the menu we decided to go in. I have eaten in lots of Indian restaurants. Fenugreek was probably the best Indian food I have ever had. Everything cooked to perfection in just the right portions . Great service from friendly staff.

We visited this place when arrived we was the only customers in the restaurant . But football was on lol. . The food was absolutely amazing the best food we have ever eaten the chef did an amazing job. The meat is melt in your mouth I can’t fault this place one bit ! The staff were also amazing. We will deffo be returning.

Over the years we have been to most of the Indian restaurants in Chester: our meal at Fenugreek was by far the best we have had. The restaurant is small and smart -not obviously Indian in style. Our server was friendly and helpful and the dishes we chose were exceptionally tasty and well-presented. We had a thoroughly good time and will be recommending it to friends.

At first we were the only guests...just 2 of us early on a Tues night. A little later one gent came in on his own. We ordered quite a while before him but he got his food before us even though our order was straightforward. When ordering our waitress said they had no naan bread which was disappointing so we ordered chapati. Following ordering our food she came to tell us chef had found a naan....weird but we happily wanted it too. Poppadoms were nice... Chutneys were very expensive for how much u got... Rice was nice but expensive for how much u got.... Curries were ok but both the chicken and lamb were overcooked especially the lamb....it didn't look like they'd been marinated either and were probably pan fried not cooked in a tandoor as they were not skewered.... Naan was ok but nothing special again don't think it was cooked fresh possibly defrosted and baked in a normal oven. Onion bhajis were very nice Every chair had food stains on them unfortunately and the toilets were not in good condition...the paintwork and level on cleanliness were not up to standard

As a Bradford exile living in Chester for the last 16 years, I have never found an Indian restaurant that hits the the taste buds, this was my first visit to Fenugreek and it won't be my last, we were seated and served by friendly staff, the food that was served, was fresh, tasty and piping hot, the main course was especially tasty and the spices could be tasted, also the rice and chapattis were the best I have tasted since living in Chester, for anyone who enjoys Indian food this should be the your first port of call, you won't be disappointed.

We as a middle aged couple enter this empty restaurant early in the evening to be greeted by a very nice waitress and seated. Neither of us have big appetites so we ordered popadoms, a main meal with rice and naan bread. We were then told it was the owners rule that we both had to have a main meal - ridiculous as it would have been wasted - use some discretion. So we left.
Had a really lovely meal here - both had the chicken coconut surprise - absolutely gorgeous & would recommend!, lovely atmosphere, nice contemporary feel, friendly waitress.

This is the best Indian food I’ve had in a very long time. From start to finish everything was perfect. The waitress was very welcoming . Lovely clean surroundings. Food was delicious one curry was from the house specialities it was a chilli chicken masala which was delicious spicy and flavoursome. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Prices were very reasonable. Well done??

We are so pleased to have found this amazing restaurant. The food and staff are wonderful and the surroundings are lovely too. The service is spot on, in summary the staff are prompt, polite and extremely helpful and so unbelievably welcoming. They make you feel at home. The food, is of an exceptional standard. Full of flavor, beautifully cooked and always tastes very fresh. Also everything is piping hot. There are many house specials that are mouthwatering not to mention all the other dishes, the balance of flavors and spices are spot on. The rice and nann bread are superb too. An added bonus is that this restaurant is such good value for money, very reasonable for the standard of food. This is such a fantastic Indian restaurant we are more than happy to travel 15 miles to get here. Worth every mile.

It was a quiet night, as I was thr only one in. The decor is upmarket, but very welcoming, lovely touch with the throw cushions on the seats. I started with the normal fare for such a restaurant, a chuckney tray and poppadoms. Then this was followed by a mushroom balti, with a nan bread. I have not tasted a balti of such quality since I left Birmingham 20 years ago. The young lady who was tonight's host was welcoming, friendly and didn't make my visit rushed. I will probably be visiting again on the next few nights I'm in Chester, despite bring surrounded by other eateries.
