My English breakfast wasn't the best I've had but at least it was warm and kept me full for a long time.

Decided to have lunch in town today and was looking for somewhere to get a sandwich. I decided on the soup of the day (potato and leek) with a cheddar sandwich. Also a black coffee. All the food was delicious and good service as well.I will be returning in the future.

Cozy little place, perhaps the toilet could have been a bit cleaner, otherwise

Visited every day during my recent visit to Chester, and it's a great place to start your day. Large selection of breakfast dishes, from sausage baps to full English breakfast. Cafe also collects donations for animal welfare, and welcoming to animals. Locals seem to come here for breakfast too. Good value for money.

Fabulous food. Friendly.Genuinely priced. A real little gem, then a gentle stroll along the river. Perfect .My only concern is it takes dogs!!!!

Love the place first time there.Beef burger is a proper one and the roast pork is to die for.Love the tea pots on the window's side. Will be back next time I'm in Chester.

Amazing food , amazing staff very welcoming we had travelled as a trip away to chester and saw this place online as one of the best cafes to try so we read the reviews and had to give it a go. Partner tried the burger I had the baguette with pork and gravy ,large portion sizes other half said his burger was cooked to perfection and he loved the homemade chips salad and coslaw that accompanied his meal ,my baguette was nice and crispy plenty gravy apple sauce lovely chunky pieces meat on it . He only left his salad as stuffed himself on everything else but I cleared mine plus a few of his chips as I had to try them too. We will definitely be returning and would recommend others try it.

Was looking for a little cafe where we could get a simple breakfast barm which wasn't going to break the bank. This place was fantastic. Simple menu and very reasonably priced. Food was excellent (recommend the sausage and egg or the bacon, sausage and egg) which is what we had. Bonus is it is dog friendly!Parking: On street parking very limited. Best to use the multi storey at the top of the road.

Maybe I wasn't lucky, but the cakes were very dry and tasted like they have been out for a few days. Jacket potatoes were edible. Not many options for takeaway.

The potato on the shepherd's pie was very watery & the broccoli & carrots were barely warm & hard. Not value for the price paid.
