Based on recommendations we went as a birthday treat. Although overall was nice a few things differed to other tables around us. The others tables were offered a selection for their steak knife, we had ours on our table. When we had finished dessert our bill, without asking, was brought straight away. We ordered steak med rare and a bit over with my ribeye a little fatty. The fries were good, daupionise very cheesy and spinach ok. Creme brulee was nice and shortbread ok. We then left and received the chocolate cone shown in other pictures in the corridor on the way out, which we had no choice but to eat outside. We arrived at 7.45 and were fed and out by 9.15pm so can only think needed our table. Although not told when booking, they were told at restaurant no mention of birthday unless cost of cone refund, which miffed us when got bill, was the treat? Apart from our few differences the food and atmosphere was nice.

We had a very tasty dinner here. First we went upstairs to the bar. There is a good selection of beers, cocktails, shots etc.The service was very good. Friendly, helpful and quick.The food was fantastic. Had USDA Prime Delmonico steak. Very tender and grilled to perfection! Starter and dessert were also great.The wine list was ok. I would have liked more Italian red wine or German white wine, but you can't have everything.In any case, Upstairs is worth recommending

We absolutely loved this dining experience, we sat upstairs at a very special spot at the bar, the staff were welcoming, attentive and took time to talk through the menu and wine list. I also really enjoyed watching the fantastic bar tenders make cocktails and drinks. The food was simply the best..... from the tasty cheese scone to the complementary mini ice cream at the end of our meal........ Perfect.

2nd visit to this lovely restaurant. We received a warm welcome and attentive service throughout the evening. A slight error with our order was immediately rectified with superb customer service.
