After a brisk walk around the mere today, with our energetic rough collies, we stopped for a cuppa (decaf coffee for me) and enjoyed a chat with the staff whilst waiting for our drinks. Good spot and cheap parking!

Always love a visit to the coffee shop after a walk around the mere. Staff are always really pleasant even when it’s busy and never had anything bad. Great choice of alternative milks which is really appreciated as someone who avoids dairy.

Having viewed pictures on line of cups and mugs disappointed on arrival to be told only serve in paper cups. Of course didn't order their website made it a wasted journey.

Went for a lovely walk round Astbury Mere and decided to stop off here afterwards for a coffee and a slice of cake. Firstly, the member of staff working were extremely lovely and very helpful as I couldn’t decide which came to get. Secondly, the cake and the coffee was out of this world and I will be coming back in a weekly basis because of it. Very lucky to have found such a small gem like this place. Thank you very much?.

Most certainly will be returning! I visited GG’s on Saturday morning (2nd sept 2023) for the first time, and was pleasantly surprised about the amount of choice they had for intolerances. As a small cafe they offer 3 alternative milks which is great, I was spoilt for choice! The staff were very helpful in elaborating what milk alternatives they did, and made me feel like I was a returning regular rather than a first time customer. I am however, a little confused by some of the negative reviews on here. I say, if you’re reading them don’t let that put you off as my experience was nothing but pleasant and I will be returning! Price was around average, and the walk around the lake was lovely too.
