Four of us had an evening meal on Easter Sunday and it was absolutely delicious. The steak was so tender and perfectly cooked, the salmon was moist and delicious and the lamb moussaka was excellent too. We had a great evening there with the best food. Would highly recommend.

Not normally one to leave reviews however while waiting for my order the lady that was there was outstanding- not only did she have the patience of saint teaching the gentleman behind the till she was communicating with the kitchen staff taking phone orders and ringing a customer back that the gentleman had got in a muddle taking their order- I did pass all this on to the lady herself (turns out she was the delivery driver and not even instore staff). This lady needs proper recognition she was the glue that held the restaurant together tonight!

Arrived early to decorate the table for a Baby Shower which was not a problem and Katie helped and greeted me on arrival. WOW the food was delicious ?, they checked allergies and needs before we started and they did not rush us throughout the High Tea. The mother to be was surprised with a mocktail and cake. Highly recommend the High Tea for that special occasion.

It was a friend's 75th birthday. We booked up at the forum. Pleasant lady took our booking and I had a reminder by text on the day which was good. We went down and were made so welcome and shown to our table. We had a fantastic meal and all of us really enjoyed the atmosphere and level of service which was we received. They made our friends birthday really special and we can't recommend them enough. Will definitely return.

I have to say, I haven’t enjoyed fish and chips of this quality in quite some time. The fish was cooked to perfection and the chips were just the right level of crispy ?. The staff were absolutely lovely—kind, polite and very welcoming. I especially thought it was a sweet touch that they gave my nephew some sweets and treats for kids, which had him leaving with a big smile.
I always make a point of checking hygiene ratings and it was great to see this place has a 5-star hygiene rating

Always polite when calling to order so 5*Food is very fresh and cooked nicely, had in the past chow meins, bbq ribs, foo young, curry sauce , chips, chicken satay all been really nice 5* prices have gone up but they would as cost all round have increased a lot .Recently tried another local Chinese as Ruby was busy and I wasn’t impressed with some of the dishes obviously back using Ruby . Delivery time always between 30-45 mins , I usually order between 7-7.30 so no delays, driver very friendly, would highly recommend for safe choice .

Had a great time at Rumba for a hen do! We booked the cocktail class for 8, which was really fun and flexible. We received a welcome drink on arrival, then could go to the bar to make our two cocktails when we were ready for our next drink. Each person could choose any cocktail from the menu, allowing us to try a variety of drinks. We also got two shots in the package too, which was great value at £35.
I'd particularly like to mention Kyle, one of the bartenders, who was friendly and helpful throughout our evening at Rumba. His knowledge of the cocktail menu was great! The other staff are Rumba were also very helpful throughout the evening. Would highly recommend!

Brilliant experience at Ruben’s. Josh gave us a lovely welcome, Abby took time to explain the menu and sort our drinks, and Gracie and Izzy were also super friendly and attentive. The burgers, chicken tenders and loaded fries were great, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Fantastic team and food — A huge credit to the staff — we’ll definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Congleton. ???

Table booked on New Year’s Eve for my husband and myself, we were seated and offered menu’s on arrival, the restaurant was very busy with it being New Year’s Eve, but have to say the service, food and drinks were amazing, we are regulars at DV8 mostly having food and drinks in the garden area as we tend to have our dogs with us, the food and service was by far the best we have ever experienced, staff were attentive and friendly especially Alfie who made our experience most enjoyable.

First experience in ordering from ChopStix was last Friday 07/12. I initially chose them for the sheer convenience of being able to pre-order online (great system). The delivery was bang on time, very friendly and polite delivery driver. That alone would encourage me to order from them again, but it also happens to be the best quality Chinese takeaway that I’ve had in a long time. Really tasty and high quality king prawns and meat in particular.

One of my friends recently discovered this wonderful Tibetan restaurant in Congleton, and we travelled all the way from Sheffield just to dine here. It was absolutely worth the journey. The ambiance is calm and inviting, the food is crafted with real care, and the service is warm and attentive. The standout dish for me was the beef momo — genuinely the best momo I’ve had anywhere in the UK. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone, especially those who appreciate Tibetan culture and authentic Tibetan cuisine.

This cock up, and the long wait time as they process one order at a time rather than getting the fish in the fryer, spoilt the experience. So in summary, nice fish, but due to the poor comms internally I can't comment on the chips......

We had a private function on Saturday afternoon upstairs at Higher Ground for my Daughters Baby Shower. We had the entire upstairs to ourselves for a party of 20. I just want to thank you all for a lovely afternoon. The service was great and the food they provided for us was delicious. Everything was fresh and presented beautifully. I had alot of the party compliment how nice the food was and say what a great afternoon they had had. They allowed us to have the room beforehand to decorate as we wished with decorations and balloons! I will definitely be recommending yourselves! Driven through Congleton many times without stopping. Boothroyd Bear decided it was time to rectify this; especially as this is also known as Beartown. First pint in this Joules pub. A brewery chain of exceptional pubs and superb beers. Lovely pint of 3.8% Pure Blonde, one of four real ales on handpump. Lovely interior but as the sun was out we sat in the rear beer garden. Great start to a day out.

Saturday 4th October 2025, My husband and I went to visit Victoria Mill Antique & Craft Centre, housed in a former mill. \n\nMy husband and I entered this wonderful and amazing place with all sorts of objects de art, antiques, vintage clothes, house wares, records, antique and vintage jewellery, furniture and curios. We spent the rest of the day here until it closed at 4.00pm.\n\nMy husband and I started on the fourth floor and worked our way down. After the first hour and half we were both in need of refreshments so we went to ‘The Loft Café’.\n\n‘The Loft Café’ is run by a very friendly and welcoming man called Ian. We found a nice table for two and looked at the small but interesting menu. We both had ham and cheese toasted sandwiches, which were delicious and set us up for the rest of the day. Mark had a pot of tea and I had a decaffeinated latte coffee. We spent a nice hour here.\n\nMark and I then explored the rest of Victoria Mill Antiques Centre.

It’s a small but great little cafe, have read a couple of negative reviews from people wanting to et own food at the limited tables available l, if we have our own food / need to feed children we would sit on one of the many benches provided around the park with our coffees ?

The greatest pub in congleton by far! Rotating street food on fridays by many local vendors, every fortnite you have Pizza and a Pint with crescent catering, or Chippy thursdays with Hightown Chippy and a great quiz every wednesday with many prizes. Every week theres a rotating keg line so theres always a chance to try something new, including lagers, IPAS, stouts, sours and some of the greatest staff around.
The best beer garden around too with plenty of shelter and even outdoor heaters!

A few months ago we attended a 60th birthday party, Top Nosh were catering for this and we were very impressed by their service. So much so, that we booked Top Nosh as the caterers for our wedding reception. This was for a buffet and waitress service to cater for over 100 people. Their service is excellent, the staff handled everything seamlessly and without drawing unnecessary attention. The menu is broad and all dietary needs were catered for. We highly recommend them and would certainly book them again. Thank you Desne and the team.

We took our children for breakfast they found somewhere to sit easily was busier than expected. We ordered at the bar with a polite member of staff we asked for alternative scrambled eggs instead of fried on two breakfast this was no problem at all. Breakfast arrived three out of six missing hashbrowns when asking the waitress they where very apologetic and went to get them straight away returned a few minutes later great service. Refillable drinks went down well Only criticism was the tables weren't cleared before we left.

Vanilla in Allseasons catered our wedding, the food and service was exceptional. They have an extensive menu to choose from but will also do something bespoke if you want that. They send out a spreadsheet with the prices of the dishes you are considering which is super helpful. It mans you can change things around without emails for a new quote every time. We went for a free menu tasting and that sold it for us, the food on the wedding day was just as good as it was at the tasting. FYI we had 6 canapes (beef pie with Guinness shot, chorizo & onion tartlet, duck pancakes, ginger, chili tiger prawns, Parmesan shortbread with goats cheese & tomato, feta bits & chili honey), sharing board roast which got all the guests interacting (beef and chicken). The chicken was so moist and well seasoned. For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding in kilner jars which went down a treat with our guests. We had pizzettes for evening food, be careful, this can be messy but is delicious. They cut and served our wedding cake and cheese tower. The service throughout the day was very professional and our communication with the team in the lead up to the wedding was very good, they respond quickly to emails. I really recommend Vanilla as a wedding caterer.
