Rude, condescending guy taking orders on the phone. Fatty, dry bbq spare ribs (no sauce) and Thai red curry should in inverted commas - gloopy pasty muck. Will be avoiding in future.

Ha ha this place is an absolute joke…. Closes at 9pm ok so ring for a delivery (don’t really care how long it takes), sorry the time was 19.55, response ‘too busy to take delivery orders….seriously) Loyalty/Customer Service pppffttt

Truly excellent service from the team Friday evening 8th September to help with my travel plans. Thank you. The food was excellent too. Will divert off the M6 again just for this :)

Only had a basic egg fried rice curry sauce and chicken. When i ate the chicken if it wasnt hot i would have said it was frozen it was that hard. And the rice was over cooked. The curry sauce was the best part. I wont be going back.

It’s a shame to write this as I’ve been getting takeaways from Sun Kong since the 90s. Tonight was by far the worst I’ve ever had. There has been a steady decline in the quality for the last 10 years. The meat has been replaced with cheap meat. The chippy chips replaced with cheap frozen ones. I doing black balls of rice (I hope it’s not gone off) in my fried rice.You need to get your act together fast as many people are asking - ‘What’s happened to Sun Kong?’
This is a great Chinese that many people use every week - it’s a bit annoying ? - I’ve lived in quite a few few places and always seek out the best in the area - this is the best I’ve found in striking distance and as good as any I’ve known, seems to be a lot of people with some strange reviews on here too that are negative, I think most people will be more than happy!!!

The quality here has been pretty consistent and, of late, consistently good which is great. Having a reliably good Chinese takeaway in the village is a blessing.

We have enjoyed many takeaways from Sun Kong over many years but what a disappointment at the tasteless offering on our last visit. Anaemic spare ribs described as "barbecued" in reality oven cooked tasteless offerings. Special fried rice, historically excellent, now the only thing special about it is the lack of king prawns (2), under seasoned, under fried rice, and where's the egg?Curry sauce was always great. Now it looks and tastes like 1 teaspoon full of curry granules in 2 pints of hot water.At least the portion sizes are comparable shame about the food.Need some major convincing and better reviews to order again after 20 years of great food.Good job the Indian is still open.

Not one to usually post, have ordered from here sporadically over the last few years, always been an OK Chinese but nothing to shout about, however..... grabbed a last minute take away as was passing last night and have to say food was fantastic!! Not sure what has happened but definitely raised their game. Surprised to see some recent negative reviews on here. Will be trying again very soon to see if it was a one off!!!
