Fabulous lunch time meal. The menu is comprehensive with a wide choice of food and is different/ creative from most typical pubs in and around the area. Our food was cooked to perfection and did not disappoint.The service was excellent bar staff attentive however the waitress m Ella, was “special” and a great ambassador for the Boars head, We will be back next month with friends .

Excellent customer service from sam the young man who was our server for the afternoon, also manager sam , we were supposed to be in the conservatory, but too cold for party of 10 so we were fine with moving and put next to a radiator sam was very good in sorting everything out for us all . Food was lovely, we had the 2 course Sunday lunch , great value.
The only thing we all said is that it was far to cold in there and should of had the big fire on .
Also would love to give a massive shout out we booked the table and year ago and have had some great and lovely emails from her from start to finish thank you vikkie Excellent customer service, so sorry we missed you

We came for a work lunch a couple of weeks ago, it was just opening and we were the first in so it was quiet. The food was good, it’s standard pub fare. I had the biggest burger on the menu, I’ve had better pub burgers but not many.

I can’t comment on the atmosphere as it was for lunch and not many in. I know they do plenty of events including a book club once a month which my wife goes to. There is shuffle board too which looks fun.

The decor is great, it’s a large but cosy pub. I’d recommend it for lunch and even for those working from home who want a change of scenery.

What an absolute gem of a find! A friend and I came to Crewe for some girl time and a stay at Crewe Hall Hotel. We wanted brunch and a catch up for our first day and I happened upon the Open Mind Cafe. The food was great - I had avocado and poached egg on sourdough, and my friend had the granola. They were so accommodating when I asked for a modification to mine and service was great. Also a lovely vibe - chilled, welcoming and friendly.

We were so pleased with everything, we came back on the Saturday for lunch before we headed home - the Buddha bowl and smoothies were delish also.

Can't recommend enough - reasonably priced, good service and very tasty food. Oh, I left with a piece of the almond and chocolate cake and omg - I wish I'd bought more! ? It's sooo good - if it weren't far from where we live, it would be a regular haunt for me!

If I'm in Crewe again, I will absolutely be back and I'll try one of the classes downstairs.

I had occasion to be working across the road from Cod N All early evening mid April whilst I was working I couldn't help notice the constant steady flow of customers

Spice Link are my joint favourite Indian curry takeaway in Crewe and following Friday the 13th's meal, it seems their offering gets better and better, as it was superb.

We enjoyed a evening meal when staying at Crewe West Premier Inn. We were warned of a 45 minute delay once our food was ordered as they were dealing with several large unexpected parties and were a chef down. We were seated near the kitchen and could see the young couple Ben and Kirsty preparing all the various dishes on order. The waiting staff worked very hard but we have to praise Ben and Kirsty as their efforts were tremendous to get everything out to their guests. We actually received our Veggie Lasagne and Smothered chicken within 40 minutes. We done to the team!

I’ve eaten chips on four continents. Pommes frites in Brussels, fries in Manhattan, chipsi mayai at a roadside grill in Dar es Salaam. I walked into Golden Fish and Chips & Kebabs thinking I understood the form. I walked out a convert, clutching a polystyrene tray like it was the FA Cup.

You spot the place from down the road — a deep navy corner shop on Minshull New Road that, on the day I visited, was wearing a balloon arch like it had just been crowned. Gold and white clouds draped over the bay window, the sign glowing like it knew a secret.

Spoiler: the balloons are not lying.
I went in for chips. I came out with chips, a battered sausage, fishcakes the size of saucers, scampi, onion rings, and a kebab “for the walk home.” The chips arrived proud, fluffy, golden — actual chips, with corners. Not the apologetic matchsticks you get from places that have given up. The batter on the fish had that crisp, architectural shell that announces itself before you bite. The sausage broke open with a sigh. And the kebab — well.

I’m now contractually obligated to compare every doner I eat for the rest of my life to one I had on a Tuesday in Crewe.

Four-point-three stars and only fifteen reviews? Crewe, are you alright? This place deserves a parade. Or at minimum, more balloons.

Ten out of ten. Would walk a minute again.

We visited this pub when travelling through Crewe as we wanted to watch the football.
The staff asked us which area we would like to sit in and put our requested match on the nearest screen. The pub was nice and warm and clean. The young lady who served us at the bar was very friendly and helpful.

We visited Fortune City Chinese Restaurant tonight, for our son's 12th birthday. First time we have been here. We had an amazing time. The staff were outstanding with an excellent service and always checked in to make sure everything was OK. The food was outstanding and tasted amazing and very large portions. I attended the Four Eagles on the 23rd December with my children for the breakfast with Grinch, for a festive morning before Christmas, around the madness of work.

I can't thank Junior and the team enough! They went above and beyond throughout and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The food was great as always.

We ordered a takeaway from here for the first time on Sunday, 30th March, after experiencing issues with our previous favourite Chinese takeaway.

We ordered the chicken and sweetcorn soup, hot and sour soup, Singapore vermicelli, chicken curry, fried rice, and spring rolls.

They have a five-star food hygiene rating. The food did not disappoint and was amazing.

The counter staff were struggling a little and seemed to be inexperienced, but the food was definitely worth the wait.

We will definitely order from there from now on!

We dined at Academy Restaurant yesterday and had such a lovely experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxed, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish.
A special mention has to go to Lily and Tanaka, who looked after us so well. They were both friendly and attentive — exactly what you want when you’re out for a nice meal. They really made us feel welcome and added to the whole experience.

We ordered 2x fish and chips with mushy peas from Coronation Fish Bar and everything was absolutely on point. The fish was perfectly cooked with a lovely crispy batter, the chips were spot on, and the mushy peas were proper chip shop quality. Honestly, it was amazing!

Took the dogs for a little stroll while picking up the order and the staff were so kind they even popped some meat in a tray for both of them, which was such a lovely touch.

The staff in here are so friendly (I come in once or twice a week and regardless of who's on shift or what time of the day, they're welcoming and pleasant). Specific call out to one of the male baristas (don't know name sorry - black beard and ponytail braids) - he SO gets customer service. I'm a people watcher/into human behaviour (read nosy ha ha) and was brought up in the hospitality industry... I observe and he is just such a social chameleon and full of energy in his role. Serves everyone beautifully but you can see how he adapts to the new mum vs the teen boys vs the elderly couple. I have literally just watched him go above and beyond to help an older couple asking for Directions, got his phone out to check their train times, walking distance etc. Right after he'd kindly given me a fresh cloth and a new portion on peanut butter after clumsily throwing the oily goodness down myself and my new jeans :D

He is a real gem. Lovely staff. My fave Costa branch.

Hope the staff are all eligible for CS-related incentives as this guy deserves a wee treaty-treat ??? ? ? ?

This is about the best kebab place! Call in and ordered a chicken kebab made with seasoned breast meat freshly prepared. Cooked on a flame grill in front of you. Lovely fresh salad and a jalapeño on top? topped with the sauce of your choice. A clean kitchen area that’s regularly cleaned as they work. A Good portion size and nice chips to go with your kebab. Other meals are available to order with the lamb kebab looking and smelling very good on the flame grill, I will try one on my next visit! Telephone or internet orders welcome.
