No booking so popped in. Wow, looking so much better since the refurb! Menu not vast but does the job. Bit pricier but things change. Partner had steak and ale pie and I had fish and chips. All good. The pug was with us too. Friendly welcoming staff so much so have booked for Sunday lunch.

Not the nicest of places I've been. Lots of kids running around, dog wandering around without a lead, staff eating on their break in public ( one of my pet hates).Might suit a family outing. Didn't try the food but it looked ok as it was coming out of the kitchen.

Only the second time visiting this pub since the refurb....First time Excellent service, Such a vast difference this evening didn't even get so much of a acknowledgement or a goodbye when we left this evening and brought our glasses back to the bar saying cheers thank you!. Not good.

The Hawk has always been a "proper village pub", and the recent refurbishment has kept the best of this atmosphere whilst bringing the interior up to date and in keeping. It's truly a success, and it deserves village support. We didn't eat there, but have heard good reports from friends.

Fantastic staff, very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, 4 of us had different meals, and no one was disappointed. Good selection of beers, lovely atmosphere, and dog friendly. We will definitely be calling her again.

We have been going to the hawk on odd occasions for 14 yrs and this is the best it has ever been since new management 2023, we are now regulars. the food is really good, locally sourced produce is used(butchers across the road) and alot of things are made from scratch. , is a cosy country pub. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming, such a nice atmosphere, and I am proud to call it our local ?Kid-friendliness: Children are always welcome, they don't have much outside space but they made sure to fit a children's play area, which the children enjoy

Fabulous lunch , we were in the small room at the back which was beautifully decorated for Xmas ! Everyone’s main meal was delicious , the puddings were excellent and the service was second to none , polite & friendly . Great price too !

Sat out side so I don't know what the atmosphere is like inside. Staff are not over friendly with strange ladies on their own! Even though this is my second visit.A bottle of Coke a cola was over £3!! Haven't eaten here in years. The quiz nights are very good with a strong following.Outside they have a covered area, but no tables to put your drinks on!!!!! A very small childrens play area, in which, in my view children over the age of 5yrs will be come bored with quickly. But better than none I suppose. Fairly new landlords. Been altered inside, so doesn't look as old an worldly like it used to.

The pub is old and dignified because it has just been done up to a lovely relaxing pub with a soft ambient to it, looking at the menu it was plentiful, with such a lovely array of foods to choose from starting with a lovely selection of starters,to nice selections of main courses, onto a lovely dessert selection, if wanted you could order a nice cheese board, plus to supplement the meal you can always buy yourself a nice bottle of wine or have a nice pint of whatever you like to drink , enjoy!Vegetarian options: Plenty of options providedDietary restrictions: Plenty of options providedParking: Car park at the back of the pubKid-friendliness: It's just a lovely homely pub, where they make you feel comfortable

Had a meal there last week and just popped in for a few pints this. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, food was great and a good pint. What more can you ask for. Great pub now.
