Visited today with my partner to celebrate her birthday. So glad we chose the Yellow Broom for the occasion. We had the 3 course Sunday Lunch. The food was fantastic and the service was great. Will definitely be returning!

Superb staff, delicious food and a great selection from either lunch main menu or two course lunch menu. French onion soup gratinée and Grilled sea bass fillet were stand outs. We were warmly greeted, wonderfully looked after by attentive staff throughout our leisurely and uninterrupted meal as dining room is spacious and conversations are kept private, and sound to a pleasing background hum. Meal was for my Dad’s birthday and he wished many happy returns, and thoroughly enjoyed his meal, his visit and ambience. Thank you, team Yellow Broom!

My partner has wanted to dine at The Yellow Broom for such a long time and despite some of the negative reviews, I acquiesced and with an open mind booked a Sunday lunch. How terribly disappointing the meal turned out to be. The highlight of my meal was the small horseradish sauce accompaniment. It tasted freshly made with crunchy horseradish. If it was home made, well done. If it was from a jar, it’s a superior brand and one I’d like to get my hands on. The treacle tart was ok too. Gooey and well flavoured. Once again, if home, great, if bought in, I like to know where from. The remainder of my meal was bland and unexciting. The two slender slices of beef were just about ok, as was the thin gravy again it was enveloped in. The vegetables were uninspired..boiled broccoli, boiled carrot, boiled mangetout and boiled frozen peas. The roasted potatoes should have been described as re-heated potatoes. Roasties will make or break a Sunday roast. These potatoes offered the latter alternative. They weren’t crispy, they seemed like they’d been emptied from a packet and tasted like they’d been boiled and tossed in a little fat, with no care or attention. Toby Carveries, hardly a gold standard, provide a far superior roasty. The nastiest item on the plate was the Yorkshire pudding….truly awful. It might just as well have been prepared a week or two ago. It was cold, dry and had and there was absolutely zero chance of it having been prepared just prior to the meal (a simple procedure in a professional kitchen). My partner’s fish was “nice” and the creamed leek it came on was “ok”. Her chicken liver pâté appeared like those available from wholesalers. In all a step up from school dinners, but way below what your local Toby would provide at approximately 3 times the price. We don’t dine at Toby, nor will we ever again at The Yellow Broom.

The food is incredible and the service was fantastic. I can’t believe it’s not busier! It will definitely be a regular visit for
The food was incredible, the atmosphere is lovely and the service is wonderful. This will be a new regular place for us to eat. We had the festive menu where you have 3 dishes for just under £30 and it was fantastic value and such delicious meals, all made with love, skill and top quality ingredients.

We booked a special birthday lunch for our father for this afternoon. This was my first visit to The Yellow Broom and was very impressed. The restaurant itself was beautiful, all the staff were polite and very professional, and the food was simply first-class.I had cod goujons with fries for my main and it was all perfectly cooked & prepared. As was my dessert (melted chocolate pudding with salted caramel ice-cream). Then the staff surprised my father with some Birthday Macaroons!Overall, a great menu, and a first-class establishment! Would highly recommend The Yellow Broom. Thank you all so much for everything today!
