Group consensus for a Friday after work pint. Range of beers, not great. Service, fine. Food snack plate, good. Toilets, excellent. Music, choice ok, quality of speakers poor! Parking, good for Knutsford. Atmosphere good. More of a food based pub than beer, I think I enjoyed it more than the others. We've added it to our rota but something lacking, but one 90 minute visit is a snapshot, so will update next time. Combined review 6/10 so 3 stars in Google language.

It's about the only place in knutsford that has good beer and isn't full of orange people from cheshire.

Stopped here for food while on our way south on the motorway. Great service, the bar staff were really friendly and welcoming plus not seemingly bothered by our energetic and happy toddler. The food was really lovely and different to usual pub menus. I had a tasty sri lankan curry with cauliflower rice and, although some folk might prefer proper rice, it was just what I was looking for. The prices are pretty standard for pub food these days and more expensive than anticipated but to be honest I was happy to pay it for what we got. There were options for gluten and dairy free which I was grateful for. Good local ale too. If passing I would recommend this place for food. We were staying at the travel lodge and needed somewhere child friendly to eat dinner and this place was spot on. Thanks.

Debbie what can I say about you beautiful person couldn't do enough for you I stayed there with my partner giuseppa and my family for 2 nights with all of my family brothers nephews sister in law for my son was getting married close by rooms were immaculate service superb lovely food basket left for morning departure nothing was too much to ask can't remember youre husband's name thank you once again padraig

The Angel is in a fabulous location the main street in Knutsford. The room was standard quite dusty and very squeaky floor boards so we was reluctant to move around the room early in the morning incase we disturbed other guests. The service was very swift on arrival but as the pub only served cask or Ipa so we didn't use the public house. Breakfast was delivered to our door, a complementary one but food was served in the pub so unsure why a cooked breakfast wasn't an option?

They've changed the menu here (and increased the prices) and we don't like it as much as the previous one! Who really wants garlic buttered green beans with a cheese & onion pie? And where have the delicious garlic mushrooms in blue cheese sauce disappeared to from the starters? Luckily, we were able to customise our meals slightly, but we left slightly disappointed.
Nevertheless, our meals were tasty and the service was good, and it's still decent value for money compared to most other places in Knutsford.

Snack at lunch and dinner were very good. Disappointing breakfast - did not appreciate that there was no breakfast other than one left at door; it comprised, for two, one pastry, two apples, two small cereal packs.
Room had excellent shower, but only one chair and a small table.
Did not appreciate either, until after booking, that there is no private parking ; public parking a few minutes away.

We had a fabulous stay last weekend for a family wedding. Great hosts, several lovely meals and wonderful friendly atmosphere. Knutsford itself was also a lovely place to visit and we were fortunate enough to book in advance at a great price - thank you for having us. X
