We visited this restaurant as a party of 9 for the first time this weekend for a family meal for my husband's birthday. The choice of food is extensive, and all meals were amazing. The service is what makes this place stand out, it was absolutely exceptional. the staff went above and beyond on numerous occasions to ensure we all had anything we requested. This place is a little hidden gem, definitely worth a visit and we will 100% be returning!

This restaurant is worth driving 20 miles for. We love Turkish food and in our opinion, the food here is the best Turkish around. The food is all cooked on the premises, freshly baked bread, baba ganoush, everything. The portions are massive and today I asked for my food to be parcelled up to take home. The whole place is clean and well appointed. The staff are excellent.

This is our most favourite restaurant by far. From the amazingly tasty and traditional Turkish food to the wonderful staff. We have just got home and feel totally content. Fabulously tasty food which is cooked to the highest standard and then Kerry always treats us like we are so special. She gives us her full attention from the minute we enter till we leave. This restaurant is the best Turkish restaurant by far. Well done guys.

We had a brilliant, yummy early dinner yesterday. The food was amazing. We had the hot mezze, chicken wings main, lamb shank (with a Turkish twist) and the little one has chicken nuggets (home made and great quality). We were all so impressed and literally can’t wait to come back with friends.
Great to see a glass of Chilean Sauvignon was only £4, not a ridiculous price like other places.

I cannot speak highly enough of The grill on The Cross. From the moment I spoke to somebody to make our reservation until the moment we left the restaurant everything was impeccable. We are unable to visit as frequently as we would like but, by far and large The Grill on The Cross is our favourite restaurant in Lymm. We are made to feel valued and special and the staff go out of their way in every respect to make this so. Began was the lady who predominately looked after us on Sunday and she remembers my specific dietary requirements so there is never any hassle neither do I feel awkward. I had the Chicken Shish -the meat was so tender, juicy and tasty as was the chicken, lamb and minced lamb skewer my husband had. All the meat was truly melt in the mouth. We didn't want the meal to end. However, on our departure ( it being Father's Day) my husband was given a complimentary Peroni and glass - another kind gesture. Throughout the meal in a very nice manner, we were asked if everything was to our liking and/to if we needed anything else. We will return the very next time we go out for a meal in Lymm. We visited for the first time since it has changed hands. We enjoyed our starters (mezze). We felt the lamb chops did lack seasoning but our food was hot. The service was friendly. This restaurant is upstairs. I did not see a disabled entrance so access may not be suitable for disabled people. Toilets are up another flight of stairs.

Came in on Saturday evening around 7pm restaurant very busy as you can imagine for a Saturday night. Be wanting to try here for a while after recommendations from friends who are regulars here. Found the staff very helpful nothing was to much trouble for them. Very polite and welcoming. The waitress asked did anyone in our party have any allergies which I thought very professional as I am gluten free. Food cooked to perfection. I believe the decor has been changed and looks amazing very modern. I really don’t have a bad thing to say about this place. All staff were very nice and chatted to us which I thought my was nice the chef even came out to say hello to his guests which I thought was a nice touch.Will definitely be coming back again.Thank you for a great night

The price’s here used to be reasonable, but now it has new owners it’s gone overpriced. Just for an example, a simple chicken wrap with chips to Takeaway used to cost (£7.90 in March), now cost in excess of (£12.00 in May). Also the portions now seem smaller and the service isn’t good.

We booked our table 4 weeks prior to our meal, having dined here previously and being very impressed and we decided to take our friends for a much needed evening out. We were so disappointed. I had requested a window table, which was written in the diary but had been overlooked and all the window tables were taken. We waited until one became available. The food took a long time to come, starters about 20 minutes then almost an hour for our main course, we had to ask whether it was coming. After our meal we asked for the drinks menu to select coffees, this didnt arrive. The staff seemed very unconcerned/ unfocused on their customer service and chatted amongst themselves behind the bar. I hope this review gets their attention and they take action to improve their customer experience. Too late for us though as we won't be returning.
