I had a special fried rice and a pot of curry sauce delicious, went back the next day and fish chips and curry sauce absolutely spot on but remember boys and girls this place is cash only and imo rightly so?

This is one of the best Chinese takeaways I’ve had in a long time. I live in leamington spa, I wish Lymm fish and chip shop was there - it would put all their takeaways to utter shame. We had appetisers (prawn toast, spring rolls, spare ribs, crispy seaweed & prawn crackers) and half crispy aromatic duck. All of it was delicious!

Best chippy ever. Staff are so friendly and nice. So many veggie amd vegan options. But the chips alone are tye best chips I've had. Salt and pepper chips are amazing. My favourite is vegan sweetcorn soup and tofu and schuezan sauce. Been quite a few times and never been disappointed. Sometimes depending on time there's a que but that shows how good it is and staff are always loveky and polite amd organised. X x all visit when we visit lymmVegetarian options: Mains are splitbso.you pick either tofu or vegetables then can pick your sauce and noodles rice or chips . Also quite a few veggie vegan starters Inc crispy veggie duck which I haven't seen many places , also veggie chicken and sweetcorn soup.

Ordered from here asked for spare ribs in ok sauce not sure what was on the ribs looks like it was covered in batter it tasted awful ?

Tonight we ordered salt and pepper chips, curry sauce, BBQ ribs, soft noodles, chicken and mushroom soup and fried mushrooms and onions. We had this same order the other night with the exception of the fried mushrooms and onions and all was delicious which is why we repeated the order tonight. Oh, what a difference. The curry sauce was vile, tasted like gravy with pepper in it. The salt and pepper chips were just a soggy lump of squishy potato with hardly any salt and pepper flavouring. The soup was nice and the ribs and the noodles were OK. However, the fried mushrooms and onions were more like boiled mushrooms and onions and were in gravy which it does not mention on the menu. I phoned to discuss this with the server but all I got was a very argumentative lady who would hardly let me speak, talked over me when I did speak and told me that chips out for delivery do go soggy. I told her I could understand this however the ones we had the other night were lovely so if all chips go soggy when out for delivery how come the ones the other night were fine She conceded that the curry sauce tonight was not a good batch. However when it came to the mushrooms and onions she did not think it was a problem that they were served swimming in gravy despite there being no mention of gravy on the menu. Her manner was not apologetic at all and her manner towards me left a bad taste in my mouth, nearly as bad as the food which mostly ended up in the bin.

I've been coming for years and can't fault the fish and chips but a recent visit has put me off. The staff in the day seem to make up the prices. I had medium chip and gravy and was charged more and given less than the person after me, it's only because I was still outside I heard the disparity. When I queried it no one could explain. I'm Bitterly disappointed to have been ripped off by a place I was loyal to.

Not been here in a while but nowhere near as good as I remember it. The rice was hard and the chips were very thin and soggy. A very average meal for me and probably won’t use them again to be honest.

Easy to see why it was busy in here... really nice fish and chips. Curry sauce was ok, but fish was fresh and nicely cooked.
I stayed at the Lymm Boutique Rooms and found Lymm Fish & Chips shop very handy. It was literally a 2 min walk from my room and the food was good. Great service and food

Ordered a take away and they tried to charge me £22.60 for fish and chips as well as chicken fried rice and curry sauce. I questioned the price and she said there had been a price increase and gave me a new menu. I said no way it was £22.60 so she reluctantly got a calculator and it added upto £16.10. No apology just spoke to each other in Chinese and laughed! When I arrived home no chicken in the meal so rang them back and there attitude was appalling. Made it out that I was making it up but eventually agreed to send over a new chicken fried rice and took the old one back for analysis. So I was left cold curry sauce but the replacement they brought round had chicken so Yipee. I then got a call to say that they had spoken to the kitchen and the rice I sent back was chicken fried rice? So they basically said I was lying! What a joke this place is they are so arrogant avoid at all costs No apology at all so make sure you check the prices so you don't get ripped off!

Friendly, yummy, and we took our chips and sat watching the ducks at the canal!Have been many times, this was the first time we took our cat, she was happy that she wasn't the only one at the canal!Great cheap date night Vegetarian options: We are both vegan, qnd although the food is fried in the same fryer the staff are happy to check ingredients.

Been coming here for a while and it's the best Chinese/ fish and chips in the area . Fast , efficient service and lovely staff . Food is excellent, tasty and good portions . Also a lovely setting in the heart of sleepy town Lymm...

Ok, but a few negatives. First off it’s cash only. In a post Covid cashless society this seems really backwards. Would also surely be better for their book keeping to have it all recorded digitally? Also they automatically charge 10p for a plastic bag rather than asking if you need one and then only charging if the answer is yes and don’t highlight this each time to the customer, I wonder how many people realise? I also wonder who they donate the proceeds to as per government regulations? Better still why not switch to paper bags, removes plastic completely and free to the customer, Renee’s do that. Finally they don’t sell beef burgers!? Other than that, food is nice enough.
