Just had a full English at the Moat cafe, proper proper old skool transport cafe, looking a bit tired in the loo's a bit of tlc required but other than that spot on and it's not that far off the M6.why pay services prices. Defo be back 3 minutes from the M6 to be preciseParking: Not a massive parking area and no overnights

Been coming to this place since it was called the bug hut in the 70s and 80s with dad in his lorry, now come here in my own lorry. Still a great place for a breakfast at a good price. Staff are always friendly. For a 3 minute diversion off the M6 you can have a nicely cooked meal instead of the usual fast food rubbish on the nearby services.

I called in here on the off chance with a colleague from Stoke on our way to a meeting in wigan (we both work in plant transport and rail) We both agreed it was a generous and very nice breakfast. No complaints, The service was friendly and the food Definitely value for money. Delicious and filling. I highly recommend this cafe. There's penty of parking for vans / cars and turning for artics.
