I found a long hair in my food and showed it to all the people at my table. All agreed it was indeed a long hair. I complained instantly. The waitress took my meal away and asked if I wanted something else. I declined as it had made me feel very queasy. She took the meal into the kitchen, where the owner was, and promptly came back to tell me that it wasn’t a hair but a length of cotton, but told me I wouldn’t have to pay for the meal. I didn’t intend to. There was no apology from the staff. In effect she told me that cotton in my food was acceptable. It clearly isn’t.

Great French restaurant, offering a wide menu of perfectly delivered authentic dishes. Straightforward venue, quiet enough for conversation. Attentive friendly staff. We were so impressed with 6 different dishes to buy the chef's cookbook.

I'm a Londoner, and as such am used to high prices... however, I was shocked to the core after popping into The Terrace Cafe in the quaint village of Lymm in Cheshire for a coffee and slice of cake... whereupon I was presented with a bill of £9.20 I have spent less in prestige London Cafe's for the same.. so left this average establishment with ill feelings of being ripped off. If you intend visiting this Cafe with friends or family... make sure you head to the bank first to take out a loan to cover your table cost ?? Mr Unhappy (Ripped Off) Customer

A gem of a cafe! Tucked away behind the road with a lovely outdoor terrace. The menu selection is so varied. My gluten free friend was well catered for as were vegetarian and vegans. I had the tastiest chicken shawarma wrap. I'm still thinking about it now! We also tried their mushroom coffee which had such a strong aroma but tasted so smooth. I wouldn't normally do desserts but everything was so good I needed to try their cakes. I had the snicker brownie which was nice and gooey in the middle (forgot to take a picture). They also had a choc chip GF alternative. If you're ever in Lymm you must try here ?

A great location in a beautiful village. We only had a breakfast, mine being an omelette but the atmosphere and food was lovely. Great staff and feel about the place.

Lovely place for a lunch, whether business or with friends. Staff very accommodating and the cakes are wonderful!Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose from, including from the daily specials menu. In fact, there were more veggie options on the specials than meat.
