Sunday dinner never disappoints and its a lovely place to bring the dog and family with being on the canal walk. Always a good atmosphere.Parking: Awful sometimes stops you being able to go to the pub at all. They turned the car park into a massive gazebo type thing so you have to park on the tiny country lane which fills up quickly and is dangerous.

Lovely friendly welcome, we'd booked which I was pleased we had as it was quite busy even on a Monday lunchtime. Service excellent, food delicious, very dog friendly (including dog treats on the mantelpiece!) what more can I say?!

Delicious risotto and steak and ale pie. Gorgeous chips and delicious, flavoursome gravy. We'll come again.

Seems a nice pub. Nice seating area outside to sit with dogs outside and heaters keep you warm. Only downside was that its used as a smoking area by the locals ?

Excellent food and service.Would have been 5 stars across the board but the room was a little cold.Maybe get that big range fire going on cold days.
What an excellent pub. We were made welcome as soon as we walked through the door, great service (thank you Emma). Excellent food and a great range of beers, Timothy Taylor’s Landlord being excellent. Dog friendly too. We recommend this pub of character.

We absolutely love The Kings Head! Our go-to spot for weekend walks – the welcoming staff and cozy atmosphere make it a fantastic place to be. A bonus that the outdoor area is suited to any weather, meaning we don’t have to de-layer to stop for a quick pint, and can sit nice and warm under the heated shelter. Whether it's a family outing or any occasion, the amazing food and friendly atmosphere never disappoint. Highly recommend!Kid-friendliness: We regularly visit with the children and the staff are always so amazing with them and welcoming. It’s refreshing to experience this and to feel so settled out as a family.
