Lovely pub to end a long walk in the beautiful surrounding area.They have a good selection of beers and the menu is nice. I really like the chips here too.The staff are really friendly here too and happy to help.They have a covered outdoor area and a play area if you have kids. I’m 90% sure that they have heaters out there too.All in all, a lovely pub.
I gave 3 stars for the food which we all enjoyed but we ordered and was initially charged for a ciabatta prawn sandwiche but a sliced bread sandwich arrived.Service was good but it wasn't noticed our order wasn't correct. However when I pointed it out at the time of payment it was sorted quickly and with an apology. We had two different meat pies off the specials board, very tasty, but we really enjoy vegetables so would have liked a larger portion. (I know some people don't...read full review

Called in with friends for a quick pint, stayed a bit longer, great hospitality and a good selection of beer, highly recommend. Not sure if dog friendly, would be back if this is the case,?
