Very beautiful place and very nice hotel in a rural setting. Swimming pool and spa available. The hotel bars are typical English and very good.

Called into the Spa cafe for tea & coffee which was very busy with members, spa guests and non residents.Even though the cafe was busy, service from Vicky & Jo was excellent who quickly found us a suitable table.

Everything was perfect except the excessive heat. All spas are hot but this was unbearable. Still a wonderful spa day. Afternoon tea was delicious.

A wonderful Spa day, extremely friendly staff and wonderful treatments, but average food and high prices!Rookery hall is a lovely place for a day of relaxation, pampering and rejuvenation. All the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the treatments and products available. They have a small but well-filled gym and a lovely pool, sauna and steam room. The relaxation room is calm and serene and the amber lounge is a great place to read and relax. The treatments were amazing and the recommendations were explained thoroughly. The only downside was the food was very average from what I expected, I also ordered one drink with lunch and was charged a 12.5% service charge which was very disappointing,However this didn’t dampen my day as the staff were so friendly and attentive to everything I asked, I will definitely be back again.

Had an excellent meal at Rookery Hall. Good food with amazing staff. A special mention to Ben who went over and beyond to make our evening special. ( Our 36th wedding anniversary). Food was amazing.

I went last weekend with my partner for our anniversary and it was not off to a good start. We showed up late as we were stuck in traffic, so I called to inform hotel but not one picked up at the reception after they transfer me. When we got to hotel, we went through spa entrance with our car and was expecting to see a grand house but couldn't find it. After an hour on the phone trying to reach the receptionist I was so frustrated, I almost left because I couldn't find the hotel. In photos its a grand country house, so I was confuse when I pulled up to something that looks like a convention center in the dark. Her excuse was she was helping a customer though it was so quiet. She finally showed us where to park, I was flustered at this point as there was no proper signage. We had reservations for dinner and chose the 10 course meal at £90, however they don't tell you that VAT is not included in the price so our meal with a bottle of wine was an additional £40. Rooms were nice but not decorated in the country house decor, you could of been at any nice generic hotel. The spa was lovely and the highlight of our weekend. Probably won't return as it's a lot grander in photos.

Wow amazing hotel, staff are absolutely fantastic and really make sure you have a great and are always on hands with a smile. Big shout out to Dan from the bar, he is amazing. The spa and pool area is lovely with a good sauna and steam room to enjoy. Everything is clean and tidy and the place is beautiful. Dinner in the restaurant was also great and I would recommend going for the tasting menus as these were excellent.

Gorgeous hotel with fabulously spotless bedrooms and facilities. Had a night away for a work do and we were treated so well by the friendly staff. Food was delicious and the pool, sauna and gym were a nice addition. I would definitely stay again. 10/10Rooms: Very comfortable bed with plenty of pillows to choose from. The decor was stunning and touches like the TV in the bathroom and coffee machine gave it a luxurious touch. The rooms were well ventilated/heated and quiet and dark. Perfect for a good night's sleepFood & drinks: Lovely well stocked bar area to relax with a drink in. Had a Christmas dinner evening meal in a private dining room and it was delicious and the service was great. In the morning the choice of breakfast was vast and the personalised cooked breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. You will not be disappointed with a stay here

Enjoying the health club membership so far!! (Haven't stayed at the hotel!)It was meant to be a treat for December but I don't think I can give up coming here.I've only been going for a couple weeks but have a good routine of going straight to the gym after work and then winding down in the pool/steam room/sauna. The staff are lovely! Hope I can take advantage of the PT run classes and workout plans soon.

My mum and I went to Rookery Hall for a spa break.Overall the experience was great, and I will explain the reasoning for the 3 stars in more detail. The staff at the hotel were amazing, they checked us in early, and were very attentive. It was my mum's birthday and we had a little gift waiting for her in the room, a card, a little selection of fudge and two small bottles of prosecco. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Overall 5*, would recommendAs part of our spa package we also had afternoon tea, which we were told was going to be served at the spa.The area where they were serving it was what I would call the reception area, quite noisy, and a tv with was running with a radio channel on - again noisy and more pub like atmosphere. The service was great, however the afternoon tea itself was the worst I've had unfortunately. It was Halloween themed, which I get, but I thought it just looked tacky. The tea was a clippers tea bag....We had the vegan sandwiches because of dietary requirements, which wasn't an issue as the menu described a lovely selection including falafel, hummus and roasted veg etc. We only had 3 types of sandwiches, all looking a bit sad to be honest ( pictures attached and remember that the afternoon tea was priced at £32 pp in the menu)The scones were underbaked and stodgy.( regular scones, not vegan, just to clarify !) One was regular, and the other one was green ( Halloween maybe?) but flat as a pancake. The cakes were Halloween themed and apart from the fact that they looked very untidy, weren't really nice, and just tasted sugary. The chocolate mouse was lovely.Again I know I am being very picky but for something priced at £64 for two people, I was expecting much more. I've had afternoon teas from wowcher which were nicer. The rest of the meals we had in the hotel restaurant and I can say that they were 5*, and I would definitely recommend rookery hall to anyone looking for a relaxing time away, but maybe don't have afternoon tea at the spa!
