We held a celebration party for our family and friends at The Royal Oak and couldn’t be more pleased with how the day went. The staff and management team went above and beyond in helping us to organise our event, even helping us with decorations and devising a bespoke menu of food and drink for our Caribbean themed party. They certainly know how to organise a big event and were experienced and professional throughout. Our guests were all extremely impressed with the food and service and we all had a fabulous time. Thank you to Dan and the whole team for a wonderful event.

We had a superb Sunday lunch yesterday. The setting was beautiful , the food gorgeous - the pork was to die for and the cauliflower cheese was the best I have ever tasted. What makes this place so special are that staff. All so charming , interactive and attentive. Rookery Hall you should be very proud as we all agreed this was the best Sunday lunch ever !

This is such a wonderful pub - the food is excellent quality and portions are great. We had the salt and pepper chicken wings to start, which were delicious. The chicken burger was one of the best I have ever had. The staff were very friendly and the service was brilliant. We look forward to visiting again in the future when we are in the area!

Great food and service, lovely dining area. Staff very good especially Kasey who helped with a memeber of our family having a gluten allergy and added a special sparkles to the deserts for a birthday celebration.

Been here frequently now for food including lunch and dinner. The food has been amazing and can’t beat the service. Lovely location, very welcoming and all staff very helpful. Had main meals and Sunday lunch and all been lovely. Had a pigsty pizza last week to take away which was also great. Done properly in pizza oven, had chicken wings and chips as well which were also amazing! Will continue to be somewhere I go to enjoy food/drinks and the lovely atmosphere

This place really is a lovely Countryside Pub, definitely worth a visit, if you haven't already done so. The staff were friendly and polite, and food arrived in a timely manner. I had The Royal ? Burger ?, which I can honestly say has been one of the best Burgers I've had, very tasty ?. There's a Beautiful Restaurant, a Pavilion, a children's play area, the Pub is Dog ? Friendly, if your pooch is well behaved ?, outside Toilet facilities, which is handy if you are staying overnight in your Campervan. I will definitely being going back and would reccommend. We have been here for Sunday lunch quite a few times now and brought friends who have also enjoyed their visit. The food has always been consistently good as well as the staff. Its a very good hearty Sunday lunch with excellent meats and vegetables. We love coming here as we always feel welcome and never leave disappointed.
Went for Dinner with friends, the buildings improvements are good. What we experienced was not what expected because: 1. The Menu on the Website was much more extensive than the one we were offered. 2. Only 40% of the food on the offered menu was available - all the rest that had sold out of. 3. Waitress started moving furniture and cleaning while we were eating at 8:00 in the evening. Food was average. At the moment it seems oversold on the Website
